Now that we're using the new VMC forum template, what do you think?

If there is anything which you like, or dislike, can you leave your feedback via this thread.
 
Well it woke me up this morning for starters! :012: :034:

Still getting used to it but initial impressions are that it looks fresh and clean and less cluttered :026:

Plus, similar to other social media outlet comments section you can click the 'like' icon as well, that's if you like a certain post.
 
Ohhh - hadn't noticed that.

One thing - I clicked on the Vital Members League link and had a look around only to find there was no way to return to this forum or the Vital Man City homepage. I had to use my internet History. Have I missed something?
 
I can use the back button of course but if you have looked at several pages that's a bit of a faff. There doesn't seem to be any other links at all. It opens in the same webpage/tab - if selecting it opened a fresh tab that would help or is this down to user settings on individual computers/platforms?

Very true Skoorb. We do need to have a way of going to another page link without having to click out or clicking back to the forum.

Once we get a few more comments i'll pass them all over to the techie chap. :026:
 
I like it overall.
One point, though. In the old format, new inbox message alert was in red bold which caught the eye but now it's not. Easy to miss a new message.

 
Points raised have been brought to the attention of Vital Towers. I'm sure we'll receive a reply very soon.
 
Looks good, but will take a bit of getting used to.
Is there any other new functionality available?
Can we post bigger files?

As far as I am aware gifs and pics can still be uploaded. I'll try at the foot of my thread. As for other functionality - not that i've been told.

As for the other points - the new forum template is still a 'work in progress'. List of 'things to do' as per above comments have been noted and i'm told will be acted upon very soon. Something else I note is that one cannot 'quote' within the content of a PM. The PM system, so i'm told will be fully updated in due course.

Keep your comments coming.
 
I'm reluctant to mention this, in case it lets Mr Jinx out of the bag, but I've had no really annoying pop up adverts ruining my browsing.

Oh, and how do we access the text editor now?

The pop-ups via the forums have been put on hold for 24-hours while peeps get used to the new look. I'm afraid to say they will return (fecking hate them - can we start a fund so we can pay NOT to have them?).
