Forest vs United Match Thread - Sponsored by Amorim's grand turnaround

Out of the point tally last year we aren’t that for off from these specific games. Brentford and west ham cancel each other out. I think we are probably about 6 points behind if you compare but with a worse goal difference .
Sounds trite but we are in a relegation battle until we aren’t. In terms of points and position we are in the shit but the performance in Saturday showed that we are at least on the right path.

Unless Wolves spend well they are down. Wet Spam are a bit of an unknown even to themselves then there are teams like Brentford, Fulham and ourselves in the mix. I wouldn’t rule out any of the promoted sides either. Granted, Sunderland look pretty comfortable but a bad run coupled with other sides finding form could still ruin them.

I agree. All this is predicated entirely on ourselves. Leeds is a must win game. After we play Liverpool away, we have many winnable games up to City at home

2 v Everton, Wolves. I think we are in the territory of having to take 4 points from the home games v Brighton and Spurs

We are bang in a relegation battle, injuries mounting and a suicidal EL squad selection limiting our choices to rest our core players in the EL games until the NY

I think Wolves and Leeds will be relegated with ourselves, Burnley, Hammers, Fulham, Brentford battling for the 3rd spot

Sunderland have 18 points, and you’d think 5/6 more wins sees them safe now

So, is the world’s greatest road sign still up in the UK? Can’t remember exactly where I saw it, but in and around Essex and those counties…

It read…..’secret nuclear bunker’.!!!!! Utterly brilliant road sign and absolutely hilarious

Does it still exist?

He sits near me, I wave to him all the time but he never even acknowledges that I'm there.

Internet nomarks don't get acknowledged chap. Very occasionally, a very high performing Internet nomark who has worked hard to get noticed can be acknowledged by a rant. Its quite an honour, not given out lightly.

Who buys the most merch: surely thats the tie-breaker?

Me, you ask, i have all the shirts, hats, clackers and whistles.

Scarves? I have 'em all...especially the half-and-halves; lovely stuff given they celebrate the nobility of good natured competion and sporting excellence.

I have a few Notts Forest tea towes, mugs, pins and badges. Not to mention, my commerative tea set celebrating our 1979 European Champs win vs Copenhagen.

Finally, i have the 2025 Notts F Men's calendar: Mr July...phwooah, i'll never look at Yatesy the same way!

I see you haven't got the nffc cat food bowl. Fooking psued.

Don't include me in your dastardly schemes.

Not unless I get commission.

ooh a 50 mile round trip every time?
I think that will add to your supporter points.
You might even be approaching Pope, who is right at the top of the supporter league table obviously.

50 miles? Luxury! We couldn't afford any miles when I were a lad. Or we only went when it was 500 miles, and even then, only of we had a farthing left over for the steam engine. Or it was a thousand miles? And we would crawl those on our hands and knees. And then only see the game through broken spectacles while crouching down in front if A Block. Still we looked up to that Pope though. There'd never bin a better supporter than him, not from here to Timbuktu. It was terrible what he had to go through. He was never able to enjoy himself, but he still turned up and sat there in the Trent End. Brought a tear ti the eyes of those of us that had travelled 2 thousand miles on a raft down the Trent .....

Thats the one!!! I mean, who approved that? Genius
Double bluff perhaps ? A bit like the "No tools are left in this van overnight" . Keeps you guessing if it's true or not. As it happens i firmly believe every tradesman carries all his tools and equipment inside their house every night and piles it in their lounge.
