Forest vs City Match thread. ChatGPT returns

Icing on the cake just heard Anderson misses Everton game due to his booking (when he made no contact whatsoever) .
Fucking magic.

Absolutely vital game and probably the most overtly physical we are going to play all season

And, I believe, 1 fucking game before the records are wiped

Well don't Rob Jones, you knew exactly what you were doing

I'm hoping it's misinformation , sure we'll find out soon enough.

Fulham , absolute dog shit yet gained 6 points on us in 2 games.
I think it shows what a really good manager can do. With AFCON taking away some of their most effective players, an already small Fulham squad looked very vulnerable going into two relegation six-pointers. Now, they’re basically safe.

I really don’t know what Dyche is doing with our subs at the minute. We’ve made just two subs in each of our last two home games, during the most congested part of the season. Tottenham in particular was a chance to get everyone a few minutes as soon as it went 3-0.

West Ham are a bit behind us, but they start the New Year playing Wolves and then ourselves. We need to find ways of scraping draws in our tighter matches because that will make all the difference. Our last two wins have been against teams that I thought were so utterly dreadful, we couldn’t help but beat them.

The city fans were fuming about Jesus which tells its own story of how effective he was.

Interesting to watch Rooney on motd review the fouls of MGW for second goal. The footage and view he gave shows MGW grabbing the city player and trying to pull him over. So by that angle the goal should have stood and should have been a city foul if anytbing

What was MGW doing?

More worrying was how positive the city fans were about Anderson performance. I guess it could help pump up his price

From the Athletic:
Wood is yet to feature under Dyche, who he previously played for at Burnley between the summer of 2017 and January 2022.

“He has had surgery, at the end of a period of trying to settle it down. We had a lot of specialist opinion on trying to get through things naturally,” said Dyche.

“But they have decided it was time to go and do it. It was a version of a cartilage op(eration). It will not be days, we are hoping it will be weeks. We will have to see how it settles. The signs were good, from the surgical point of view.”

Your last paragraph: see your later posts, and maybe, reconsider your grievance narrative?

Lol "see your later posts".

Did you think about what you were writing there - "please take a look at YOUR OWN posts"? Did it occur to you how stupid that was?

Football is an emotive game. We are meant to feel something. It's meant to be tribal, expressive, joyous, angry, sad, euphoric. It's meant to be irrational at times.

You sound dead inside. Your approach to football is like watching Bonnie Blue do her tax return

Well your continued negativity is just depressing and a lot of the time, stupid and wrong.

Football, while an emotive game, is meant to be enjoyable and simple.

I'm not negative.

I support all of our players and give them time, on a forum where many of the posters want half the played binned off after barely 100 minutes of football that they haven't even seen live.

You had a poster claiming Wood was out for the season yesterday - challenged by me, no comment obviously from you.

I don't get the impression you enjoy anything about football other than lecturing me

Not at all. I sometimes agree with you, and day so, and like those posts. I just think it is ridiculous how you seemingly want to find conspiracy and deliberate bad faith to explain every disappointment concerning Nottingham Forest. Most people grow out of that mindset before starting secondary school.

And FWIW, although I did not post that, I think that Wood probably is, to all intents and purposes, out for the season. This is because Wood has posted a picture from a hospital bed having undergone surgery and such scenario likely prevents a timeous return to top class football. It is not because I think there is some conspiracy amongst medics and orthopaedic surgeons to handicap Nottingham Forest. That is the difference in our respective approaches.

With regard to CWs knee, I'm hoping that it's a similar scenario to the injury I sustained way back. A constant niggle that would not go away ( settle down in Forest narrative) My consultant actually showed me the spot on one of the x rays, a tiny bit of scar tissue that just needed " trimming". He said it would probably heal itself given time which I did and its now fine. Mind you I'm not a Premier league striker who is getting on a bit.

But thats the passion of football.

If a forum isn't a safe space to act like an emotionally stunted man-child, where else?

Now, tops on or off, chaps?
Its blisteringly cold, owt and i havent a xmas beer jacket for company...

Loved how the ex Derby player and manager Wayne Rooney managed to contrive Morgan Gibbs-White being wrestled to the floor as a foul on Nico O'Reilly on MOTD

To be fair the footage and angles shown did give it a feel of 6 of one half dozen the other so I can now see why VAR having access to those angles wouldn't change the on field decision. Did seem an odd one from MGW and more the kind of stunt to play up the other end of the pitch in their penalty area. I'm not saying it wasn't a foul but MGW did as much to cause the situation and could have had a foul called on him to the letter of the law.

They did agree with the second yellow though and that's the important one. Dias goes off and that changes the whole dynamic, especially the tactics change and wind in their sails coming out second half.
