Will on-loan from Newcastle goalkeeper, Englishman Freddie Woodman, 23 year old, and 6’ 2”, recover from a hip injury in time for tonight’s match.
His injury draws attention to our other goalkeepers:

There’s Dutchman Erwin Mulder, 31 year old, and 6’ 4”, signed from Heerenveen in June 2017, who replaced Woodman during the Leeds match last Saturday. His 3 year contract was up on 27/6/20, but was extended to cover the deferred season matches.

If Mulder plays tonight then I assume U-23’s signing from Taffs Well, ex-rugby player, 22 year old, 6’ 4”, Englishman Josh Gould, who was named as part of the first team squad, will be on the subs bench. He signed a new 2 year contract last January.

Not considered due to being out on-loan this season is German Steven Benda, 21 year old, 6’ 4” goalkeeper who has been on loan with Swindon, who are promoted as Champions of League 2, and Benda has been getting rave revues there. He signed for the Swans from 1860 Munich in August 2017 and signed a new 3 year contract in June 2019.

Woodman out for two weeks hip injury, Cabango out with troublesome hernia injury but named as sub:

Swansea City: Erwin Mulder; Kyle Naughton, Mike van der Hoorn, Marc Guehi; Connor Roberts, Jay Fulton, Matt Grimes (captain), Jake Bidwell; Conor Gallagher; Andre Ayew, Rhian Brewster.
Substitutes: Josh Gould, Ben Cabango, George Byers, Nathan Dyer, Wayne Routledge, Bersant Celina, Yan Dhanda, Jordon Garrick, Liam Cullen.

Disappointed not to win this one. It was a strange game, lacked quality apart from the individual goals, but other than that, there wasn't much on show at all. 2 average sides. Games like that mean we're not capable of getting into the top 6.
