Forest v Liverpool

Im glad he mentioned nuno cos it just feels to me that dyche has simply reinstated the tactics that served us so well last year. If there is a difference it is the fact that our squad is so much deeper.

I say this as a compliment to dyche and the antithesis of postaclownlu. He keeps the football pragmatic and simple. Players know their jobs. Imo dyche & co know the PL as well as anyone so, on the limited basis of games we have seen, they appear to know the opposition maybe better than nuno and we are organised accordingly.

We arent trying to reinvent the wheel or making up some bullshit 'new' strategy. We just do the basics very very well with a bit of x factor sprinkled through the team.

Simples.
Not so much against Liverscum - but we are definitely pressing from further up the pitch - that is why Dyche is insisting on a higher level of fitness. I think the stats are showing that we are covering more km per match than previously as well.

There was an article in the Athletic about different styles meaning different types and levels of fitness being required. Things like number of sprints, amount of distance being covered.

Ange’s style needed a totally different fitness balance to how the players had been conditioned under Nuno. Dyche’ style is similar to Nuno’s so players are returning to what they know.

It was pretty interesting and made a surprising amount of sense.

Thought we were under the cosh for 30 minutes but match replay showed we started on the front foot, pressed hard, and looked a threat - then dropped back or were forced back and were a bit lucky not to concede but defended well.

Over 90 minutes both themes continued, always likely to score and Sels only had one notable save to make. Must be our best performance of the season.

Just another underscore of how stupid he was. No preseason to adopt new fitness regime- so what, lets change anyway....

No part of that whole mini episode made any sense whatsoever to me.

Oh how the mighty have fallen. Maybe the self entitled scousers might learn a little humility, won’t be holding my breath though.

You don’t find out how good a coach is, when things are going well but when they’re going not so well. Last season Liverpool won the premiership with Klopps side. Having spent £450 million, this is Slots side.

It appears that the players don’t care. Be interesting to see what happens on Sunday against wet spam. Not sure what I want more, put some space between us and wet spam or to get within 3 points of Liverpool. Get the popcorn out lads going to be an interesting day.

Can't see it myself especially as it's pbviosly all the fault of those pesky, delusional, upstart clubs who don't understand that they are only there to make up the numbers and gift them the points.

It pisses you even more for why Nuno behaved in the way he did...
If he wasn't such a p*** probably we would be on similar points as Utd, Liverpool nd within touching distance of the European places again..
Dyche has a much bigger appreciation of being at Forest, so too, his backroom staff.
That will obviously transfer to players from the first meeting.
I expect Dyche to be successful with this squad, as he has never worked with such quality.
Living close to Leicester & suggesting Dyche when they got rid of Coops, only to be told he wasn't good enough for them either, is conversation I often remind many of.
