Forest v Liverpool

Some of their supporters do not take defeat very well.

I have been in Halewood for over a hour this morning and not so much as a good morning from the Red half.

Those fine upstanding citizens who follow Everton, have been as warm and inviting as ever.
It’s the victim complex rearing its head. Liverscum fans seem to think it was our fault they were shit. The same as it’s everyone else’s fault that they are shitting the title defence. Again.

I watched the highlights yesterday for the first time since I watched on Sunday. I was shouting no fucking way when the Jesus goal came up. Strikes me as one of the worst decisions against us but as we went on to win it hasn't influenced the result.

How does the ref see that from where he is? Take a look, he would need x-ray vision. He then takes 7 seconds to blow. Why?

He should of course have allowed the goal then VAR does its check but no he makes a decison that he cannot IMO be certain of, meaning it has to then be 100% clear as not a hand ball for the VAR office reviewing it to over turn. I would say that is obvious there is no handball but its not the best of views (why?) and there is a tiny bit of doubt (I'm being generous) so they don't overrule.

Scandalous officiating.

So did the lino give it?, ref got someone in his ear? Watching at the time on TV we didnt see endles replays of the incident as usual, just a wait while they checked.

It seems to me that it was the Lino who gave it otherwise you’d expect the ref to give his decision quicker wouldn’t you. If the ref gave it he could only be guessing much like the Lino guessed when he gave that ball out for a corner decision against Man U & that is not how decisions should be made.

However the worst bit was the way it was more or less dismissed by VAR with just a cursory glance when usually these things are dissected forensically as they zoom in but in this case there didn’t seem to be any of that

PGMOL have got away with one there because thankfully we still win the game. There is absolutely no sign of any improvement in on field officiating or VAR

Excellent tactics video.
At one point he explains why Neco is one of the foundations of how we play. Great stuff.

Im glad he mentioned nuno cos it just feels to me that dyche has simply reinstated the tactics that served us so well last year. If there is a difference it is the fact that our squad is so much deeper.

I say this as a compliment to dyche and the antithesis of postaclownlu. He keeps the football pragmatic and simple. Players know their jobs. Imo dyche & co know the PL as well as anyone so, on the limited basis of games we have seen, they appear to know the opposition maybe better than nuno and we are organised accordingly.

We arent trying to reinvent the wheel or making up some bullshit 'new' strategy. We just do the basics very very well with a bit of x factor sprinkled through the team.

Simples.

It pisses you even more for why Nuno behaved in the way he did...
If he wasn't such a p*** probably we would be on similar points as Utd, Liverpool nd within touching distance of the European places again..

Yes, there are a lot of parallels between Dych and Nuno, particularly when it comes to pragmatism and the art of keeping things simple.

Now that we are playing something like, I think the current side is a shade better than last season's.

We are certainly not as quick on the break, but we were never going to be without Elanga's pace, but we definitely look more of a threat going forward.

Eight goals in the last three games is testimony to that and all without a player who contributed 35% of our total league goals last season.

The team has more balance to it, and we look much more comfortable with or without the ball, and the exciting bit is the number of players to come in, players who should feel a little more at ease now that the confidence is building.

Nuno is history, he'd taken us as far as he could and I think he knew it. Dyche can take us another level up especially with a deeper squad, question is how far.

Completely agree. Trying to keep my feet on the ground cos after the abject bin fire start, i had all but written this season off. Im not buying the dour dyche after the last few games. Yes we do look way more balanced and we certainly have more control but we also look like we're hungry again. So much developing talant as well, not sure i can remember such a promising squad since the european team, and even then, not sure had the depth we do now.

Just have the feeling that the longer this season goes on, the more ginger we're all gonna feel 😄

Heard similar, chap.

Whilst I PMd the snerts - ROFL - and myself,
I care not one goddamn jot, BUT, whisper it quietly, the wheels are turning and EM has MASSIVVVVEEEEEEEEEE plans for the old girl.

Take it with a pinch of salt, but look East.

I don't think that was the reason he wanted out.

Something else happened; he either fell out with EM or Edu.

His relationship with the players was fine and he had some new ones to play with
He threw his toys out of the pram because Edu came in, in between himself and EM. Maybe his ego was hurt and he dug in over Traore and didn’t want a player or 2
