Who started a thread last week about being disillusioned with football.

Well you should have been at Priestfield yesterday. If you were a Gills fan it was euphoric. Brilliant performance, exciting attacking football, 5 goals and could have been a lot more if Garmston and Reilly hadn't fired chances over the bar, the Rainham End and a lot of the other parts of the ground singing as if we'd won the league.

Ok, I too get p***ed off with the overpaid 'superstars' in the premier league and just tape the highlights and flick through, but yesterday at Priestfield would have had you up out of your seat singing your head off....great day and a million miles from any disillusionment!!

That's what it's about davey.

Seems to me (from afar) that if our home & away form/results had been reversed this season, Gills fans would have been a lot happier. It sounds as if we have put in performances like yesterdays on 5 or 6 occasions away from home, just the 2 or 3 at home. Funny as it usually is the other way with Gills.

I suspect you may be right Nibbles. A couple of my pals who usually get in the Cricks at around 2ish for a 3pm kick off, still got in there at 2 for a 5:30 kick off. The place was rammo as well. Also the Blues Rock (or whatever it's called) was heaving at half time with the whole place singing, which I've never heard of before.

All in favour of a later kick off .Though on this occasion i did not go drinking .I went out with the wife and still had time to take in the game .Result everyones happy .All in favour of the change of kick off this time .I am sure it would work well during the warmer months .

I don’t drink at the football but like many still came away with a cracking headache due to the height of the sun.

Nothing to do with the time. We flew out of the traps, fought for every ball and and got the early goal which enthused the home crowd.

We were magnificent until the substitutions.

We did play well but an extra two and a half hours boozing on a sunny day definitely contributed.

Jerry, there's quite a lot said about the game on threads titled 'Have we got a match thread' and 'Today's performance'

Like I said everyone has an opinion and I was merely looking to gauge other fans views. And worth saying as the proverb goes one swallow does not a summer make.
