For that Mario.....

Bluedub

Alert Team
For the part you played in helping Manchester City win the FA Cup and Premier League.

For your performance against the Rags in the semi of the cup, for your antagonising of the Rags at the end of that game, for that wink.

For your performance in the cup final against Stroke, for that delicate little backheel in the build up to Yaya's winner. For your interview following that game.

For your cool as ice penalties.

For being our third highest scorer in our Premier League winning season, for your form and goals in the wake of the Tevez debacle when it looked as though everything may collapse around us.

For the part you played in the demolition of our most hated rivals, for that celebration on scoring the opening goal that day.

For your cameo appearance in that final game of the season, for the role you played in changing that game with your direct approach, for that assist.

And last but not least for providing us with endless hours of debate and entertainment.

For all of that Mario Balotelli, I salute you.

Grazie e buona fortuna. Arrivederci.

( now where's Noel with that cannon )

A move to Italy is probably best all round but we do need a top level replacement ...... one injury to one of our three strikers and we have no real manouverability from the subs bench and sorry Guidetti is nowhere near the level required, if we want to have a chancve at retaining the title.

How do we know that Guidetti isn't the level required? We've yet to see him play. We all thought Kompany and Zabaleta were poor deals in their first seasons...

The word on Sky is that there will be no replacement this transfer window.....

No idea if they've been breifed or are guessing. Unless they had someone in the pipeline already and been able to keep it well off the radar we would either end up paying WAY over the odds or not get the quality required for the long term.

jon guidetti could be brilliant. folly to dismiss a player of that calibre and quality without having seen him in action in the premiership.

i strongly believe Mario is better off back in Italy where he wants to be, and away from the people who don't want him here - me included. His heart was never at City. I think we could regret this one in the long term but for the good of the club, best deal all round

Hope it goes well in Milan, although of course not if we meet you in the CL/Europa League which is now practically a nailed on cert. Be fortunate to have a manager as supportive as RM has been but I guess this season's brinkmanship of threatening to take the club to a tribunual re games missed because of suspension and grappling with the manager at training is possibly not the best way to repay that faith?

But Italy might suit you better, and life/City moves on - the penalties were particularly memorable........any word of a replacement?

Good riddance he made this club a Circus caused plenty of trouble didn’t put much into the team he was lazy and dived all the time.

He hasn't done us any harm Carl and has had his moments. We are selling him for a little less than we paid but remember that little pass in the 93rd minute against QPR in May and don't forget that beautiful strike against the 'rags' in the sick swan. Also that penalty in the 92nd minute against 'spuds' when he should have been off. All the other penalties and strikes as well. 30 goals in 80 games. I always recall that time when he completely bambouzled Brad Friedel with the second of his penalties in the FA Cup against the Villa at ours a couple of years back. Friedel ended up in a heap on the goal line not knowing whether he was coming or going.

We've had a lot worse than Mario wearing the shirt over the years Carl. If nothing else, he is the only City player to get up close and personal with Paris Hilton and also appear on the front cover of Time Magasine and they don't promote villains, thieves and murderers and are very image conscious. He's brought us a lot of very positive publicity Carl.

Don't be hoodwinked by the Cockerney 'rags' of Fleet Street.

Forget to mention sorting that bully out in Moss Side for that school kid. He's also supposed to have put a load of homeless people up for a while in a nice hotel in Manchester for a few weeks, bed and breakfast.

He's more good than bad. Every one of the City players that have discussed him have said he's a really nice guy.

Thank you Mario.....

Football fans who can bypass their pure blinkered hatred for you know the part you played in our rise to the top. You divided opinion but for every 'hater' there was an opposite who loved your talent and brashness.

MCFC is likely a more stable place now you have gone but I would suggest the dressing room/training ground will miss the fun/naughty element in you.

The ONLY part I cant wait to see following your leaving is the haters on here struggling now to find a suitable gelson after a game.

I cant help feeling that we have missed out on a talent that nobody at MCFC could tame and drive in the right direction. Thats a crying shame Mario.

I wish you well along with most on here and I hope you score many goals and find your form

Ciao Mario x

For me Mario was a nutcase and bought us nothing but bad press.

Cityboy in an interview on the Manchester City website Mario himself said those good deeds were not true.

On the pitch he frustrated the hell out of me he was on the floor most of the time.

I appreciate everyone’s opinion but I’m only saying what I saw and how it made me feel.

I know one thing my friend’s 5 year old son was chosen to be a mascot and when the players came in off the coach the boy had a ball which every player signed and the only one who didn’t sign was Mario so I’ve got a good case for not liking him.

Everyone acknowledged the young boy but Mario decided to ignore him and walked past.

The 5 year old boy has the same condition as me Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

I just think we may have got him too early in his career, you never really got the feeling that his heart was in it and rarely put a shift in, but I would like to think the majority of fans wanted Mario to succeed here at City.

I don't think we have heard the last of Mario and wil always been welcome here at City.

Not sure the majority of fans did want him to succeed Buzz.

Sadly, loads of our fans seem to actively loathe him and have wanted him gone for some time.

Mario would have come on and scored tonight.....

.....you know he would.....

....just saying...
