Football's Bubble Looks Set to Burst

Have quoted the headline from an article in the NZ Sunday paper but could not find it online in NZ (typical) and then found the link here;

I did not realise the state of play with the Spanish clubs had reached this level, although was familiar with the National Spanish financial issues they have. I thought it was a handful of clubs but it sounds like a majority of the clubs are impacted by this.

Would have been great to see in this article to mention "if" TV money was equally distributed amongst the clubs instead of Barcelona and Real Madrid monopolising this, then things could have been slightly better.

Madrid and Barca also get "loans" from the local government to keep them afloat, like the Madrid council buying Real's training ground from them for 500 million Euros and leasing it back at next to nothing. We may hate the rags and FA for not chasing debt in England, but at least town councils aren't bailing out clubs to help them stay relevant. If that was the case them Pompey wouldn't be in so much trouble either.
