Something has needed to be done about the time wasted at throw-ins, free kicks etc.

With free kicks I think that allowing the play to be restarted within ten yards of the offence would get rid of the delays caused by opponents standing directly in front of the ball and not retreating. Mind you if they were booked immediately as they can be now it would soon stop IMO.

And an official time keeper etc - advocated on here several times (y)

we cannot be the only ones to voice this and there is growing concern that added on time varies so much that an official time keeper would be a sensible move forward, with the game ending when the ball is out of play ie off the pitch or for an infringement except a penalty

With a proper timekeeper the match might go 120 mins, the poor lambs will be after even more money.
