Football Media

I was gobsmacked last night to see the BBC lead their 10pm news with an interview with Slabhead 😨

WTF? Massive hurricane smashes into Louisiana; California on fire climate change); a terrorist sentenced to life imprisonment for his heinous crimes; coronavirus rates rising etc etc.........and they lead the news by providing a platform for a privileged footballer professing his innocence?

Un-fecking-believable. The campaign to Clear Harry the Pure’s Name has begun. I have only heard a clip but he clearly lacks any humility, issued no apology, he doubled down on ‘I did nothing wrong’ (standard narcissist position) and displayed a shameful attitude IMO.

They have sunk below my worst estimation in leading with this just because it was an ‘exclusive’ given to Rag Suck Up Dan Roan. 😡
The Rags will have hired a top PR team for St. Slabhead. The top firms all have excellent media contacts which allow them to command such high fees. I still think he is in trouble because the cops will be believed in Greece.

I can't watch football 'chat' programmes any more. I find I have developed a very low threshold for BS, bias or just plain vacuous comments from ex-players recently.

I saw a comment from Sol Campbell saying that we will sack Pep before the start of the season and that is based on the fact that we have not won the Champions league, I saw another headline where we have supposed to have boshed the Messi deal wtf. anyway I despair of such experts.

found it.
Why De Bruyne Is Not Concerned About Botched Messi Transfer

the papers this morning, idea start for Liverpool and Salah on target as he scores a hattrick the small print comes later

I like to watch the pundits, they all have no more insight than the average supporter, but they do provide some amusement between matches and of course most of their predictions are biased toward former clubs. For what it is worth the Arse may surprise this season, if SFFL fails having spent so much cash he will be back with Derby.

Does anyone else use the 'NewsNow' website to look for City news?

Over the past couple of years, the City news page seems to reference more Liverpool articles than City ones - Liverpool publications which are either gloating, 'warning', accusing, maligning, etc.

I leave this link here so that you can gape at the level of insight and understanding that is usually exhibited.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

when we were crap no-one mention City in the same breath as Liverpool and now the compliment is every time They write an Article about the Dips then mention City... I know it's annoying because the story is about the Dips and nothing to do with us and Newsnow picks it up because it filters everything with Manchester City in it. we get loads when the Rags are mentioned but I have filtered out the Mirror Liverpool Echo and the Star along with the Sun and every other rags paper lol

I will just leave this here.....

Now I actually won't miss Alan Green who I always found to be a biased twat, but the general thrust of this article strikes a note with me. But there has been a general slide on BBC R5Live-rpool towards 'blokes down the pub' banter rather than anything if substance which has been aggravating me for a while.

But the shuffling off of older presenters like Green and Pougatch and the dumping of the hugely popular Sue Barker & co from A Question of Sport smacks of ageism pure and simple.

Don't even bother to read the article, simply the headline is enough.

Does anyone think that the author, whose first name is Emlyn, is NOT a Liverpool supporter? I can only imagine the glee that would have been expressed had City lost by this margin as Champions.

Now that referees are giving penalties for fouls that used to be fouls anywhere on the pitch other than in the area, there will be lots of goals about and Liverpool are the new team to beat.

Early doors for sure, but Everton are the ones to watch.
