Football During Coronavirus Crisis

Have you checked your info is up to date Melon? (Anyone) as a fair few of the people they have registered have old email addresses.

Will be putting up a link to the consent form on here as well though, or I assume it will be linkable (bound to be) if not, let me know and I can get one and pm it to you.

Yeah it is all up to date. I have reset my preferences a couple of times to see if that sorted it. I started to get emails again early autumn time but nothing since probably late October.

Will see what happens but yes thank you , good idea if you can link it on here or will shout up if I don’t get one.

Brentford have said they have 13 confirmed cases, Gillingham have closed their Stadium because of the high number of cases amongst their staff. How much longer will it go on.

I think the EPL will want to get as many games as possible played. The African nations starting next month then the World Cup next season means there's not much wriggle room.
The more games they try to cram in in a short space of times means less recovery time for the players and usually more niggling injuries.
This Covid is really starting to piss me off now.

their 9 include covid and injuries (I think) - think they have most of their centrehalves injured (not covid related) so were keen to get the game off.

There should be a clear rule on what these matches get pulled for - not like the prem and FA to make it up as they go along

Sounds like formula 1 to me, where the sky 6 have a greater chance of influencing the decision

Im sure some clubs are using the situation to their advantage. Might sound slightly conspiracy esque - but I wouldn’t put it past them.
Brentford Manager saying the same thing on Sky. Saying some managers not being honest about the number of cases they have so as to take advantage.

I’d absolutely expect that, this is top level sport worth a lot of money. I’ve seen this done at Sunday league let alone premier league

Let's be honest, the amount of covid case being felt at clubs are going to pale into insignificance compared to the amount of infections fans who are going to contract covid on the stands.

As i have said previous there should be a set number of Covid cases per first team squad to qualify for a cancellation. Some clubs who have a few injuries on the go will plead not enough players and get away with it. If its a set number it is then transparent and provable. Injuries are part and parcel of the game and should be excluded.

Well Deano was saying Norwich had about 8 people out against us, but also read somewhere only 1 of thise was actually a regular starter. It will be the go to excuse for many managers over the next month or two

Anyone with a few key injuries will be crying out for it. Pep crying about a injury ‘emergency’ a few weeks back, im sure with his players back and wanting to push on from a 7-0 win he’ll be a massive hypocrite soon enough.
