Football During Coronavirus Crisis

Spurs , Norwich and Leicester affected by the virus now. I can see some more games being cancelled in the next few weeks.

This is what I said earlier, I can not believe that this is not going to have a massive impact on the rest of the season, be it off the field or on it. No one in their right mind will allow the new variant spread unchecked though the whole population, especially when being double jabbed is not as effective as it once was. I can't believe that I'm happy to have recently caught covid, hopefully that and my booster jab next week will give me some extra protection I think we may well be in for dark times ahead.

On 5 live they were saying that a load of postponements would play havoc with the season bearing in mind the schedule next year with the world cup etc.

What can they do if players are too ill to play, they would have to postpone the world cup like they did with the euros, personally I think that people's health is more important than football Fifa have to just deal with it

Yes. They were on about how they could possibly fit in potential postponed games and the one suggestion was to can the F.A.Cup. Lets hope it doesn't come to that.

They were saying that 30% of the cases in London are now the new Variant and thats only the ones that that tested for omicron personally I think that it's the dip of the iceberg, watching the Brentford game It could be a potential super spreading event like it could be at any large gathering event. As a doctor said earlier, it may be less dangerous as a Variant but if you have potentially millions of infections that's going to have a massive impact on everyone and hospitalisations are bound to pick up

If the players who are infected have not been vaccinated and have therefore had to call the game off then the game should be forfeited and the points awarded to the other team.
That way no games gets postponed and it might just make the idiots gets jabbed.

I would probably go even further, if you don't want to get vaccinated, don't expect to have the same freedoms that vaccinated people`s have you're not only risking your own life you're increasing the risk to other people health. If you're going to let people do what the hell you they in public places, you may as well allow smoking in bars, restaurants etc. I've not followed the rules for nearly two for somebody else to ruin it for me, my family or friends. I also don't buy its personal choice, I don't have a choice to stand next to someone who has a higher risk of transmissibility after all it works both ways just like it does with smoking. The Tory ministers who think it's ok to allow anyone to spread it on to anyone else because it's their choice can fuck off.

Nicely put.
