But some are asympomatic - they have the virus but it doesn't display any symptoms. They are the tricky ones, because obviously you don't go for a test, or stay in, if you don't know you have it as you don't feel ill!

No, it was 9 players reported to have it, 4 support staff/coaching or whatever.


Just double checked

Villa were hit with nine confirmed positive tests amongst Dean Smith's 25-man Premier League squad with five staff also contracting the virus to take Villa's total number of positive Covid results to 14.

Got it. Let’s hope there continues to be minimal players with symptoms. I was wondering as a result of your post if death could be a symptom and it seems by definition it can “a physical or mental feature which is regarded as indicating a condition of disease, particularly such a feature that is apparent to the patient”. I’d never thought about it!

Yes, death is definitely a symptom, normally caused by a shortage of breath and heart failure which are well known in the medical world and tend to kill most of us .
This can also account for the all 80,000 who have been labelled as covid deaths
 
Spuds fans moaning that we should be playing them on Wednesday and that we should put out the kids that played against the Dippers. Can you imagine them putting out a team of kids if the likes of Kane, Son, Bale etc. etc. were not available due to C-19 infection or in isolation?
But then again Villa are not part of the 'Big 6' and we are not from Larndan, so we should lie down and be grateful to grace the same pitch as Spurs.

Eze has been seen watching QPR from the stands without a mask or the knowledge of Palace.
Why did QPR think it was ok to let an ex-player into their bubble?
Too many hangers-on at these games in including pundits who could be in a studio miles away. Do we need two commentators every game, one is bad enough.

I saw some report about that in Birmingham Live, but they've basically just made a story out of some random comments they've found on twitter. I'd think the genuine fans with their heads screwed on, can see they could be in exactly the same scenario in the near future.

Actually. He has a point. Last Thursday the Premier league knew about the Covid-19 outbreak at villa. Fairly obvious at that point our game against spuds wasn't happening. Why wait until Monday.

But , he doesn't have a point. Its not scandalous (his word) you having to play a football match you get royally paid to do.
Scandalous is 80,000 plus people dying and millions losing their jobs.

In summary suck it up and be thankful for what you are doing as a job in these times of all times.

In normal circumstances he may have a point, but this season is unique. Teams have known from the start that they would need to be flexible with the fixture scheduling as covid outbreaks were likely to happen. He's just getting an excuse in now as the likelihood is they will get thumped

Absolutely. While there is not alot of flexibility in terms of getting Covid-19 in the squad , if the squad goes down with it then not much you can do. But it is incumbent on clubs to be grown up and flexible when rearranging games in these unique circumstances.

I'm fed up with hearing managers whining about fixture congestion. They are not in touch with reality and the real world problems others have .

Just fcuking shut up.
