Posted on his social media. he couldn't agree a deal between him and the club.
20 minutes later Uddersfield posted a video on their twatter of him signing a 2yr deal.
31 later this yr, we have seen the best of him.
Grateful for his fantastic season however should have sold him in Jan when his stock was high.
Had his faults, that criminal non header corner v a 10man Lincoln in the 95th minute is my over riding memory.
Taylor is a better option IMO.
Ennis comes back fit and we'll be right.

Mixed feelings about his departure.

Despite his goal scoring record last season (which arguably kept us up) he always frustrated and looked totally disinterested and half arsed at times.

For a striker who can’t jump, head a ball, quite often has poor control and is a liability when trying to defend (why even bother) I always got the impression he did just enough to avoid much criticism. His goals deflected his obvious weaknesses.

I guess at his age the club didn’t want to commit a big slab of wages and is looking for a younger, more hardworking equivalent.

I wish him well and Udders will be his last ‘big money’ contract and we will move on. A leopard doesn’t change spots and if he doesn’t score he may well find himself benched.

When he first came I thought "WTF?". He couldn't head a ball, his positioning was poor and his skill level was questionable at best..
But, he did improve and his confidence grew. He still wasn't the most skillful striker but popped up with crucial goals. Last season was very poor to be honest and his confidence look shot again.
Taylor, Ennis et al will more than compensate I feel
