Wonder if their manager will be present, or will I have to prepare a bed at work :grinning:

Fleetwood Town manager Joey Barton is being investigated by South Yorkshire police for allegedly assaulting his Barnsley counterpart Daniel Stendel after today's League One match.

Barton was physically prevented from the leaving Oakwell by police after the match, which saw his Fleetwood side suffer a 4-2 defeat.

Sky Sports reported that the two managers to be separated by stewards and the police after coming together in the tunnel, which allegedly ended in the former Manchester City player assaulting Stendel.

The Sun have tw@tted:
Joey Barton 'knocked out two of Daniel Stendel's teeth with vicious headbutt' in tunnel bust-up'

Surely if that's true his tenure as a manager must be considered by LMA/EFL.

When he goes up to the Pearly Gates St Peter will load a ton of sins onto one side of the scales but, onto the other will be put that he told the truth about Oyston. Which way will the scales move then?

I wonder if that player for the codheads who had his appeal rejected today will be the only one missing from next Mondays game :grinning:

A man has been arrested following an alleged altercation between Fleetwood boss Joey Barton and Barnsley head coach Daniel Stendel at Oakwell.

The man attended a police station on Wednesday where he was arrested on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence and racially aggravated assault.

He remains in custody for questioning.

Barnsley complained to the FA and the EFL about the incident in the tunnel after Saturday's League One game.

South Yorkshire Police, which earlier appealed for witnesses, said inquiries were ongoing.

"Officers are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have caught the incident on camera or who may have any mobile phone footage immediately before or after the incident occurred," a police statement said.
