Yes, of course, Wooton, could recall there was another loanee but couldn't remember who. I honestly think we just need a new coach who can set us up properly and a few of these basic signings. If that happens then i think we have enough quality to climb the table.
Also recall Joe Kinnear immediately bringing Andy Impey in when Kinnear came in to do a rescue job on us (was it 2005??) Think we had gone soemthing like 8 or 9 games without a scoring. We brought impey in, who I think was out of favour at Leicester at the time. He scored on that day think we got a 3-2 or a 3-3 or something. Anyway, he came in and just took his chance to play without any pressure. Worked great.

Also, go back to 2003-04. We were in the bottom 3 when Kinnear brought in Impey, Rogers and Evans, none of whom were outstanding players (arguably, none of them were any good at all) but dragged us up to 14th.
2-3 loans to change the tone can make a world of difference. But, for me, they have to be players who've played lots of games at this level. Reserves from Ligue 1 are too big a gamble.

I think we need a t least thre good quality signings like those who can make an impact. The first two you mentioned made the most impact.
The fact we are losing Lansbury means we may need 4 or 5 players who can impact tbh
This squad seems weaker and morale even lower to me
