First Week

Thinking ahead to what will happen in the first week of the JJm ownership. Fawaz's dithering has removed any opportunity for them to ease themselves in and get conformable in their roles. They need to hit the ground running. I'm hoping we'll get the following this week:

Today: New coach, CEO, FD & DOF have already been sourced and are in place & waiting. All have been assessing the situation from distance and are ready to go.

Tuesday, formal purchase completed in London with journalists reporting so later on in the day. Stories disseminated by journailsts about how it appears that PM has been immediately relieved of his duties.

Wednesday, presser at the ground where new CEO is introduced. News released in parallel that Lansbury is gone and a new coach is in place (to bury the Lansbury news).

Thursday, the new coach, Rowett, is introduced to the media.

Friday, first of a handful of low key loan signings arrive (similar in stature to Peltier from a couple of years ago) in time to have an effect on the team for Saturday.

Saturday. Rowett puts out a bland but refreshed & organised side at Brum, get's a heroes sendoff from the Brum fans, and we come away with a well earned 0-0. Britt plays a full 90 mins and radio Nottm comments about how good it is to see some endeavour back with the players.

Next week. A couple of higher profile permanent signings follow but not big name players. Results slowly but surely pick up and in 10 to 12 games times, we're wondering what all the fuss was about as we sit comfortably mid table.

Very nice paplane

"If carlsberg did first weeks"

Hope so

I like to see posters like me who are prepared to consider boring stuff as being important

Many will just want us to spend 10m plus week one

If it works out like that it will be sublime :14: and hopefully it does!

Obviously we've no real experience yet with JJM but from reading whatever information I could about himself and past ventures he does not seem to be one to mess around.

If he has the correct people lined up, ready to come in I feel that's going to have a bigger impact than we could possibly imagine. An actual hierarchy is going to make the world of difference and will put a lot of people at ease (including the players).

There seems only to be one video interview with JMM out there, it's on YouTube about a charity hospital he setup in Mexico. Again this is extremely high level but he appears to be a straight dude, no crap just straight to the point :25: which is something the club has lacked since the Hasawi's came in.

Wishlist this week.

- JJM Completes the takeover
- JJM or his representatives hold a press-conference
- The club structure and new employees/directors are announced
- Objectives are clearly listed and the plan to achieve them
- Clarification on PM & Lansbury (get PM replaced)
- Get a manager in who knows what to do, a clear budget and a clear level of control from the manager
- No interference, no selling of Cash or Britt
- Plans for proper sponsorship, stadium developments etc

I'd be happy with that pappy!

Not sure what a young Morse has to do with it all - unless they're investigating the criminal goings on at NFFC.

On that theme -

Philippe Clouseau - he has to go!

Let's hope we cancel the loan of Dumitru too - woeful player, said so from the very first time I saw him play! I lost count of how many times they criticised him on R.Nottm, but PM could not see this - his in game management is very poor.

Also - big bust up at HT, which Benny alluded to - some serious issues there between the players and coaches.

If it is Rowett - expect him to bring in Caddis, who's been told he can go.

Henri - difficult one - plenty reporting that he'd agreed to the new contract at NFFC (in principle), but the offers received for us as a club & Henri, appear to suggest he's on his way!

I may be wrong but I think it's unlikely that Rowett would want his first game to be against Birmingham.

In the stands while someone else is caretaking (and hopefully advising informally), maybe.

Not writing off any of the games and I know they are on a bad run but I don't see Birmingham as one of our better bets for the 6 wins we need.

Would be a tough start for him but who wouldn't want to be on the touchline to receive massive applause and to say goodbye in return, so soon after being given the boot.

If JJm gets his shit together this week and 'has folks on the ground' as he claims, then there's no reason why Rowett couldn't be on the training ground on Wednesday/ Thursday/Friday teaching the players how to fooking defend as a team and cover each other. If he does get those 3 days in, why wouldn't he want to be part oft he set-up on Saturday?

Also, if PM is a gonner this week, who would take the team? Lichaj?, Cohen?, Fawaz? Seriously, Gary Brazil I presume.

Nowadays managers have a habit of sitting in the stands first game hands off

If they lose its fook all to do with them

If they win it always transpires a little 2 minute per talk they gave at some stage made all the difference!

Lol

I would like to see at least £10 million pounds spent on the quality players needed to give us a chance of getting out of the championship. If nothing is spent then we will still get out of the championship by another route.

Spent in January or in the summer JC?

Incredibly hard to figure out what we need and FIND them and they be available for the right money now JC? And not make more expensive mistakes we regret

Which is why I veer towards loans that we have the funds to make permanent should they deliver

Just being consistent in my approach to the solution of our problems Jimmy. I don't think the players we need will necessarily be available in January more likely the summer but if they are available now then yes. Loan players I think have no commitment to the club as has been proved over and over again, good quality permanent signings on the other hand show that we mean business to the remaining currently under motivated members of our squad and to our remaining but fast diminishing fan base.

Well we agree then

I think loans playing for a contract could work

Will be a really hard transfer window I think

there are many keepers in the championship out of contract next summer
ruddy, rob green, Tomasz Kuszczak, mark bunn

we badly need to sign a decent keeper who inspires confidence.

alan judge another player out of contract next summer that we should consider. luke freeman another player out of contract at Bristol city...much better player than any winger we have at the moment.

We don't need to rush we need steady building no point trying to do everything in a rush. Secure championship status and then look to build for a proper go next season, or even the season after. We need to get a culture and philosophy into the club and you cannot do that overnight. I hope the ITK's don't build up everyone's expectation of what JJM can do.

Geddy & Elokobi came in to us on loan in 2012 and turned our season around. Fresh faces, not tainted by what's gone on before.

Similar approach required now IMO.

That's just the point, we do need to rush or we will be relegated. First move? Get rid of the current manager because he has not got a clue. The new manager has got to get cracking fast, then we have a chance.

Some good shouts there jock.
Exactly the sort of players we need .
No more of these third rate foreign players .

i think the decision on Lansbury has to be made too.

I think we should now just cash in on him and get the Barnsley lad in for the same (or more)
