I like the idea of giving three at the back a try. Who the three are may require a juggle as the likely three has been suggested earlier but lack pace. If its three against one upfront, then one needs to step in to midfield and the other two negate speed by one of CB's dropping off slightly. Mancienne is the quickest of our CB's and could be used if two speedy characters are in opposition. He lacks height which is why he is 5th in line.
Oz's weakness at LB was his lack of height particularly when a big forward runs in to his area of box and linked to that the frequency of teams lobbing balls over his head for winger to run on to. These tactics will be nullified with a big CB playing in a three.Oz managed to score and make opportunities from fullback. Think he will manage even more playing wingback.
Darikwa much improved as season went on and be interested if old failings of not being able to handle an attacker taking him on return, or if he builds on last four months performances. Wouldn't mind Cash trying out a wingback role.
May go three at back away from home??? Options.

Mancienne should not be considered even if we are down to our last dozen fit players; he is a total liability.

I thought similar. We have the players for a back 3 but it does tend to rely on the quality of the wing backs. Tend to agree with Polly that dars and oz are our best bets here but cover?

Lichaj, if he stays might offer some. Cash is the other if he can do it (I think he can).

Getting a wee bit excited by all this talk of 2 up front
