Fingers crossed for MGW today

What frustrates me more is that MGW is made for that 6 role against ‘lesser’ opposition but he’s not getting a look in as he’s deemed only a 10 where we have plenty of options.

It’s painful watching our holding midfielders play these boring slow passes from side to side at a snails pace. If I were MGW, I’d be saying to Tuchel ‘you clearly feel you have a gap in that midfield given your Henderson inclusion - give me a go’. Watch his performance against Ipswich the other week - brilliant in winning duals, playing on the half turn and dictating play… is Henderson really gonna be able to do that?

Just send him the you tube clip of his pass v City from his own half, and then where he is as the ball hits the net. MGW was on, or around the penalty spot.

Incredible energy to play a pass from 10 yards inside his own half, to then being the pull back option for CHO before he went solo

Problem is, Tuchel only actually watched his performance against Ipswich at home in the cup- where he was coming on second half against a low block, while losing, after the starting team had already fucked it up.

MGW made us a mile better but he didn't find the breakthrough

Terrible bad luck to have that game as the last that Tuchel saw

True. It was terrible bad luck. But that is part of the reason for his non- selection, not some anti- London or hostility to clubs outside the Sky 6.
