FIFA World XI shortlist

[Bluedub]

4 City players shortlisted for this, none of them will likely make the final cut but nice to see their talent recognised nonetheless

I got 3 out of 4 right before I looked.

Nice to see us getting some on the list.

There's always a debate around what constitutes 'world class' when it comes to footballers, would it be fair to say anyone on this shortlist could/should be considered 'world class'?

[Buzz Lightyear]

Absolutley, but when you ask people it depends on how old they are, because Pele, Zinadine Zidane , Cryuff just spring to mind, but ask someone Younger and you will get Messi, Ronaldo (brazilian original) Ronaldinho

I would define World class that in any given year the best 11 players picked for a World eleven, who would pick this team, that's another issue, or just use the castrol rankings.

Would appear Coutino of the dippers has all the answers re the best players :017:
