FIFA For Sale

UEFA seem pretty keen to see the back of Infantino:

"We cannot keep going on like this with secret schemes on fast track timescales, cooked up by faceless individuals and of dubious benefit to the game. We must identify those responsible and hold them to account. It is right that, in the coming days and weeks, Uefa will work with its associations and in close cooperation with other confederations to reflect on how this happened and devise a plan to make sure that it cannot occur again. That review should be thorough and fundamental. No option should be off the table. The current Fifa leadership has not only lost Uefa’s confidence, but also that of many other members of the football family"

Fingers crossed.

Does anyone else here think, that it may have been Trump's idea, in order to create even more wealth for his associated family?
If not actually his idea, he does seem to have been a strong influence on Infantino.
The bloke was already some sort of power nut but with The U.S getting the world cup, made up peace prizes and red card bans getting suspended, he has become besties with the orange one and seems to have upgraded to full despot mode 🙄

Welsh FA have now withdrawn support for Infantino's re-election with the English FA believed to be preparing a letter to do the same. (Source, Sky News)

Will be interesting to see if this leads to a landslide of other countries doing the same or whether they will all bottle it and leave us hanging.

It's getting more brutal, hand to hand fighting. Infantino won't give up easily and if he wins out his revenge will be focused and prolonged. Sometimes the good, or less bad, guys win. Fingers crossed. I think the demand for all communications before and after the proposals to be preserved and released is a sharp move.

All 55 UEFA members are expected to join Wales in writing to withdraw support for Jonny Baby.

Given UEFA, CONCACAF, AFC, all moved en bloc to nix his sell off plan, with UEFA committing to withdraw from the world cup, I expect there will be enough votes of no support (or however they actually do it) to get rid of him.

There is simply no point in FIFA existing under Infantino if UEFA leave, given they are by far the biggest driver of cash in to the system.

Funny isn't it that he has gone out of his way to spread the world cup far and wide except in Europe, because he reportedly doesnt like the fact that UEFA are "too powerful". Well, he's about to find out (hopefully) just how powerful they are.
I can't see many other federations going against UEFA's vote, they know what side their bread is buttered and that, without UEFA on board, the little one's promise of loads filthy cash is very empty indeed.
A reporter on ITV news has just claimed that there are now enough voters to get him out. Not sure if that's true but we can but hope 🤞

Fingers crossed and hopefully the next guy isn't even worse!

Therein lies the problem HS.

The whole world thought Sepp Blatter was uber corrupt and it couldn’t get any worse. Yet when even he comes out against Infantino saying that football is not for sale you gotta wonder what’s next.

We witnessed the same issue with UK Prime Ministers for years.

Good news, lads. Have greased a few palms and have been told I've virtually got the job. Get your bets on now. What could possibly go wrong?
I have submitted my entry for the election.
In my manifesto, I propose to melt down the WC trophy and have it made into limited edition commemorative coins. I even have Michael Buerk on standby to do the TV ad. Should be a nice little earner 😉

FIFA to "no longer tolerate any attacks on its integrity, good governance and due process and will take all necessary measures to protect and safeguard its name and reputation".

Lol
Unbelievable statement to make. Just proves that Infantino doesn't understand what a c..t he is!
