FIFA For Sale

I have read about suggestions the opposition will move to maks
The BBC in their article point out that there already enough counties who’ve voted in their respective groups for FIFA not to be able to command a majority but he still won’t pull it. The man’s a moron.
He's in too deep and thinks he can face them down. We l think it's a desperate misjudgement we'll know one way or the other soon.

I have read that some of the opposition will move to make the top job rotate. They have had enough after Havelange, Blatter & Infantino dug in to their own advantage.

If I said what I really thought about Infantino then I would be getting bombarded with private DM’s from Chris Who…

Jose Mourinho voice* - “If I speak I am in big trouble”.
I’ll happily say Infantino is a c n u t (not a silly one though), but he is.

Tbf, that's a very good impression 😉

Great news that The Hood has dropped his evil plan (one for the oldies there) but it's only a matter of time before he hatches another one. Since his affair with the orange one, he seems to have dollar signs in his eyes. A vote of no confidence needs to be forthcoming and a new, young, modern and forward thinking replacement sought.
Trouble is, I keep seeing Arsene Wenger mentioned as a possibility 🙄

Infantino's greed has come back to choke him.
His position is surely untenable and a vote of 'no confidence' or a leadership challenge cannot be far off.
Maybe but he still retains a lot of support from indivdual FAs outside Europe. He's not got to that position by chance. All those men at the top are very clever, the money attracts them

The man has no morals or scruples. This will not bother him. He will concentrate on getting elected and use that to get revenge on UEFA.
If he gets in again, and I wouldn't be surprised, this will raise it's ugly head again with a large dose of subterfuge and spin thrown in.
The other associations or, more probably, their chiefs will be told that he will ensure more dosh goes to them if they vote for him.
This isn't over by a long stretch.
If UEFA are serious about this, they need to leave FIFA now.

Infantino said:

It had become clear the project had created divisions that are no longer in the interest of its original objective

adding, as a result this proposal will not proceed.

I hope the opposition is coherent and smart. A European candidate would be a hard sell and the number 2 reportedly doesn't want the job.

Spin, spin, spin!! He is a shrewd guy.

I find it staggering that one man can amass that much power if it’s true what’s coming out of FIFA that this whole World Cup fiasco is his personal project and his alone

Can't remember where now, but I read somewhere in the last couple of days that a European candidate is unlikely, that UEFA would more likely back another candidate. Think the head of the Asian confederation was possibly touted as a possibility.
