Fenerbahçe SK v Nottingham Forest Match Thread Sponsored by ASSA ABLOY: The revolving door specialists

Finbar seems to have this agenda of trying to promote McAtee as something other than a total, complete failure of a signing who has done nothing for us except repeatedly fail to make any impact on any match whatsoever.

I have no idea why.

Every time we remove him from the pitch we look better as a team.
I do think he has ability but without application, that ability is worthless. The second his head goes down he stops trying and that is not what we want or need.

I am loathe to say get shot but like with Bakwa, I wouldn’t shed any tears if they were moved on.

He doesn't even look like he's bothered

Incorrect again. I was talking about McAtee only last night. Not previous games, only last night. It seems you are incapable of judging him based on the formation of the team and the fact VP screwed the whole set up.

1 game. Not his seasons contributions

I think its fairly reasonable to assume that if he has been complete failure in the last 16 appearances then being a failure in the 17th appearance isn't suddenly not his fault.

Ndoye, Lucca, Bakwa have had more opporutnities in their correct positions and have looked worse.

I would play him off the bench over any of the above. In his correct position. Last night in the first half he was better than Yates, Ando and Dom.

No ratings just some comments:
Ortega- best keeper we have at the moment. Improving by the game.
Williams- wasn't bad. He was sacked in the change in formation. In the second half he was the usual Nico.
Murillo- too close to the lne and he took game foregranted thinking that he could whatever he wanted as Fener were dead and buried.wasnt the case.
Cunha- great game nd should be third choice after Murillo nd Milo
Morata- the usual Morata. Some good things and some bad. Not going to improve further, so better investing in Cuhna.
Yates- crap, non existent. One of the man causes we lost the midfield, same as Nico, maybe change in formation confused him.
Anderson- did tge good things Ando does but due to change in formation, misplaced paces and similar were amplified.
Mcatee- poor. Out of position or not ( to be honest I don't know exactly what is his position), he was scared to run against the opposition nd look at him was like looking at an U15 player.
Domi- I think he was the best of the three central midfielders. He was everywhere.
Hutch- was not too bad. Should have scored. Room for improvement especially in attitude.
Lucca- enough said. Serie B player ...just
Aina- first class
Sangare- very good and helped Ando nd Domi sort the midfield. Second half penalty apart, we were in control thanks to him
Jesus- usual Jesus. Expected he to score that chance.
CHO- good goal ( slight deviation helped). Still he is not the CHO of last year, but was goodish yesterday.
MGW- not enough time

No he wasn't.
He gave the ball away like 90% of the time.
Disagree. Our first choice players last night were way worse than the second string (Lucca apart)

He was trying to make things happen, while having a pylon as an option, and our regular players having an absolute nightmare around him and behind him.

On last nights performance from him and the team, its a lazy scapegoat argument which he doesnt deserve.

He must be better, but let's see him have 20 mins as a 10 off the bench in a game which we've won (we can wish) to see what could happen. Not as a winger, not as a 6, and hopefully not with Lucca as the 9

A lot of replies saying it was "the worst we've played this season"

Was it bollocks it wasn't very good but we've been a lot worse.

Another manager finding out the hard way the second string are shit.
I’m not sure that’s totally correct… playing 3 out of position isn’t a great way to gauge players ineptitude..
