Scotimp's Views (From Season Preview):

One of the unknown quantities in the league this season, a large turnover of staff under the inexperienced management of former player Moyses could produce an interesting opening few months for the Imps. Fund-raising activities of various kinds have raised over £200,000 during the close season, improving both the club's financial standing and the playing budget. The new defence looks very solid with a better quality of player in midfield; with the departure of Tomlinson and Burrow, the question will be whether or not the side has enough goals in it. The difference could be the fitness of long-term injury victim Liam Hearn: a fit Hearn could secure a play-off spot.

Prediction: Top half for the first time since relegation in 2011.

Scotimp's Views (From Season Preview):

Just one solitary win from their last 15 matches last season has caused FC boss Neil Aspin to make wholesale changes to his squad over the summer. He has replaced long-term cruciate victim Richard Peniket and the departed Scott Boden with Lincoln's England C international Jordan Burrow, last season's FA Cup headline-writer Danny McGuire from Blyth Spartans and Wrexham's old pro Andy Bishop. However, player of the season Marc Roberts and the effective Lois Maynard could prove hard to replace. Aspin himself was linked with vacancies at Stockport and Gateshead this summer; with six years completed at The Shay, he is the fifth longest-serving manager in the top 5 tiers of English football; some achievement, and lots of continuity for Halifax to build on.

Prediction: Top half, but a play-off place would be a real stretch.
