I know that we've had this on the forum before (a while ago I admit) but I thought something a bit lighter than the EU IN/OUT debate etc. is called for perhaps PLUS, we've had some new films since then.
SO,
YOUR FAVOURITE......, War film, DOCU, ADVENTURE, Love stories (surely not, we're mostly guys, no offence 'SG4L', but do GUYS like romance?), SCI FI? Western, Kids film?
I start us off?
My Favourite War film, HAS to be 'Where Eagles dare'. Great Alistair Maclean, Brilliant direction, very entertaining, great music, FANTASTIC plot. Brilliant on my 8 foot home cinema screen with 7.1 SSound.
Favourite Docu.. Has to be 'AMAZING GRACE' the story of William Wilberforce, his struggle with his health set against his battle with the country and parliament. I've been very moved by this Great Briton's life story.
Love Story? OK, I like the odd bit of slop and cuddle. Oddly I like 'Out of Africa'.
Sci Fi, Now I HAVE to say I enjoyed, 'The Martian'. I don't really like SCI FI but this was good, almost like a space docu of a real event.
But contrast that against my ADVENTURE pick, STAR WARS 7 ('can't believe they killed off Hans Solo!).
Musical?, 'Burlesque'.
Western? 'Tombstone' and MOST John Wayne films.
Some other films I've noted? 'CHAOS', 'Parker', 'Shawshank Redemption', 'PAYBACK', 'Jack Reacher', 'Cry Freedom', ...
Now take it easy on me with this one, I like a certain kids film, I think this is a great film and laugh every time, it has some great lines for parents as well as kids, MADAGASCAR (1). Love it.
Anyone have tips for Home Cinema? How popular is that among Spurs Fans?
