I have read his book, mate!! Don't you dare patronise me thank you!!

Different era, all part of the games history. Preferred how they all did it, only fighting other hoolies, the k the modern day weasels lash out at anyone.

Danny is a good guy and an interesting character. Got no issue with anyone who disagrees with what they did, that's everyone's right. However I didn't say I was forcing anyone, just asking!

I'm sure he's a changed man, and I'm not bloody perfect, who is, but they all seemed very proud of their bad history, that is what bothers me more, of course people change and deserve a second chance, but wearing (or publicising in a book) hooliganism as a badge of honour, for me is just wrong.

Fair play, wasn't my scene to be active in but was fascinating. Some very good guys I've got to know over the years were involved. I just liked how they kept it amongst themselves back then.

I remember when I did a comp years ago for the book a few slated me for glorifying etc but for me, it was part of football's history, for good or bad. As I said at the time, I wasn't particularly keen on Adolf but I didn't think the history books should be removed :3:

(And I know you weren't suggesting they should be and that you've read it, just a joke!)

It was a truly shocking part of footballing history, during Hysel 39 people lost their lives due to hooligans from this country, we, as a country were punished appropriately, and the fault lies squarely at the feet of all hooligans, not just the Liverpool fans that night, all of them!

It was nothing short of the most disgraceful period in British sport, they might have aimed to target only other hooligans but that era is responsible for the idiots around today.

Hysel was more complicated than that, woeful ground, not safe, terrible policing.

Hey Ho, not the topic I was trying to start here really.

My point was that, something very bad would happen with such despicable behaviour and it did.

I won't go on about it any more, I just don't like being told "don't pass comment on something you know nothing about" when I do know something about it, not an expert, but I do know bits. HE wrote the book, made money from it, and I WILL pass comment as a result.

I'm not having a go JF, and I'm sorry for hijacking the tread, like I say, I'm sure Danny is now a lovely chap now and changed man, but I cannot condone what they were a part of, and I don't think profiting from it as a result is right either, that is simply my opinion.
