Chinook Flight To Wigan - 05.05.2019

A unique opportunity to support the team on the last day of the season!

Knocker’s nephew, Zac, is a Engineer Officer, based at RAF Odiham with No. 7 Squadron RAF.

Although, not technical a pilot, his mate, Pilot Officer Justin Xxxxxx, lets him fly the helicopter around the base when there’s no Top Brass about.

The Chinook HC2 is just back from Raghead Land, where it suffered a bit of damage in Raqqa. Zac reckons with a bit of T-Cut it will be back in Battle Order by the end of April

The timetable is to leave Bridgehouse Meadows at 07.00hrs on the Sunday morning.

The HC2 has a top speed of 170 knots; not too sure what that means, but it sound pretty fast.

Anyway, Zac says if he gets his foot down he can do it in about a couple of hours!

With that in mind, I’ve been in negotiations with the The Blacksmiths pub in Loughborough.

They can supply a Full English Breakfast, with a pint of you choosing, for £7.50. According to Beer In The Evening, it’s a steal at the price.

The Blacksmiths attraction is that it’s only a five minute walk from Queen's Park which has large area for the HC2 to land.

ETA at the DW Stadium will be around 11.30hrs - time for a pre-match fight, pie or drink. We have permission to land in Robin Park right next door to the ground!

With only 52 Seats available, we are expecting the trip to be over-subscribed; therefore, first come, first fly basis.

£100 per person (over 65s £99)

Planning to be back in the Bermondsey area around 18.00hrs.
