Fantastic Season

It’s no mean feat coming out of non league and reaching the playoffs first year of trying with such a small squad. You only have to look at Grimsby and FGR to see how difficult others have found it.

Fantastic crowds home and away, a team that gives everything and a fantastic management team. The club continues to make huge strides in and off the pitch - with 4000 season ticket holders already renewed the future is in great hands.

Roll on August.

Absolutely. I've really enjoyed this season and I see many positive signs.

What i would like to see is an evolution of our style to something more sophisticated with greater quality throughout the squad. Think Eardley in every position.

Winning all the time leads to complacency and dilutes the joy. We have taken two steps forward and one step back. This season has been both successful and left us wanting more. Masterfully pitched by the C's. Keep up the good work gentlemen; I'm already salivating for August.

Exactly. Here here. Now for cricket and hoping that Notts can bag another T20 crown.

For anyone considering joining the Banter site, be prepared for expletive laden attacks on our players after losing last night. You could be forgiven for thinking that we had just been relegated.

Never even thought about joining - heard too much about their 'quality' content!

Its one use for me is to see the team on match day. Remember when John Beck used to come and announce it in the Centre Spot.

Good bit of PR that. Shame it's not done now.

Win and we're the best thing since sliced bread, lose and they should all be sacked (except Rheady) ?

They really don’t sound like the sharpest tools in the box do they?

Not sure how you can do anything but praise our lads after their superb efforts this season. Sadly, we have a fair number (as do every football club) of rather blunt instruments following us.

Sadly its Trevor and his legend called Battersby!

More accurately, a fantastic two seasons:

* National League champions.
* FA Cup quarter-final as a non-league team.
* FA Trophy semi-final.
* Checkatrade Trophy win.
* League two play-offs at the first attempt.
* The highest placing of any team promoted in the top five divisions.
* Crowds up from 2,500 to 9,000.
* In addition to the Checkatrade final, we have been one game from Wembley on three other occasions.

All of that has been done on a small amount of money comparatively. For starters, Danny had a much smaller budget than Chris Moyses in the summer of 2016, yet he gave us our best season in 133 years. Now compare what Lincoln have spent over the past two seasons with the amount every other League Two club will have spent in the same period. An extraordinary return on the initial investment of employing him and his brother.

Now to tweak the style, add some more quality on the left side in all positions and play a bit passing football when required.

It's been an incredible season. The players and the management team have been superb and let's not forget the fantastic support we have had in most games. Let's continue to progress and next season the sky can truly be the limit. :wahey::wahey:
