The Edge always stated that Stuart Adamson was a major influence on how he played. I love The Skids, but could never get in to Big Country. So sad that Adamson took his own life. He was a talented and original guitarist.

Saw them play a couple of times. At Reading festival they nearly set the front of the crowd alight during Fields of Fire. Think Adamson also electrocuted himself while on stage once.

First band i really got into! loved all first 3 albums! havn't listened to them for a while so will give them a listen again. Steeltown was my favourite album. a bit darker than the rest but i remember playing again and again
