Fan Consultation Group February 2018

The Fear

A Wise Man (once sat next to him)
Might as well kick this off so we have plenty of time to put points forward for the next fan consultation meeting.

As per the bullying thread.

Any updates on why we keep seeing bullying articles with reference to Villa/Kev Mac

Been done several times now sirdennis, they are aware of it, can't see it coming back. They are pushing and growing the Foundation though and doing good in that way.

if you want it to be, it can be JPA... just still under negotiation is the answer at the moment though I guess.

should we bring up the proposal of me getting a free season ticket in the directors club for corporate ? I'm sure you'd all be behind such a thing surely???

:12:

In the news recently Xia said he has plans for the north stand, be nice to see them if possible. I don’t think we need to increase capacity (not anytime soon anyway) but that stand needs knocking down like the rest of the 60’s concrete rubbish disappearing in Brum.

Not really a massive deal to people I don't suppose, but what about resurrecting the dedicated paving stones outside the Trinity? I thought that was a really nice idea, and I bought a couple back in the day.

They're faded now and you can just about make them out, but would be nice to start that up again. No real effort on the part of the club, and I would welcome the chance to have them restored, at a cost, obviously.

Think this has been covered/mentioned before but cannot remember the answer if there was one.

Mobile and data signals in the ground. I have had several phones and different networks, yet still rubbish.

That's a good shout Melon - it is abysmal and always has been. Doesn't matter which network. I know 30-odd thousand people trying o connect at once will not make it easy, but surely in this day and age it can work better/quicker than it currently does(nt) :17:

Its outside aswell. I cannot get data signal until i'm past under the expressway on the way out.

This is a problem as i cannot wait to see all the positivity post match on Vital, let alone log on to defend my mate Tyrannosaurus Bruce.

Pavers, good idea

Yeah, brought signal up before, they said they've been to some of the top grounds in the world and they all struggle with the same issue.

Works for me. All you have to do is switch from 4G to 3G as no one really uses that network anymore, ever so slightly slower but at half time works great. That said, I’ve been to other grounds with far more many people inside and my signal works fine.

:3: Can I have your ST in the Trinity so?

Could we ask for more details for the recently announced plan for upgrades to the North Stand (I think) and will we be in line with the Premiership standards for disability areas?

Woops. Beat me to it VillaTom

Yeah, although last time it was brought up (and in interviews) Keith Wyness explained that the plans are at the formative stage ready for when we are 'ready' if you get my drift. As opposed to having plans out there that they can show at this stage.

Some of the work involved looking at the stuff that had already been done by Randy

I think that would have more support than you think JPA. My Uncle was bought one for his 40th and remember him being dead chuffed showing it to me on my first visit to VP. He lost his second battle with cancer a couple of years back and I am sure his sons (who shifted their ST one seat along to keep his seat) would love his stone restored, particularly as my Grandad had his ashes scattered at the ground. The Claret and Blue is firmly in the family!

I suspect there will be numerous individuals who have a stone for sentimentality reasons that would pay for some restoration work.
