1) Under Pochettino we do not loan players unless they are on the way out the door.

2) Pochettino has stated on numerous occasions that we will be looking for players that are undiscovered. The big buy may happen due to big sales but don't count on it.

3) Wembley: 105 metres by 69 metres
New stadium: 105 metres by 68 metres.
Get over the pitch size issue.

Adapting to the Wembley pitch size is the best preparation for our new home AND for playing the big occasions. It might be rocky next season, it might not. We will adapt. We just need to get this over this idea that we are cursed there.

If we buy Foyth but allow him to stay at his club for 6 months what is that called. A defered purchase or a loan back ?

Levy is about making as much profit as possible

What do you think? If he doesn't arrive for 6 months I think it's pretty straightforward.

II agree with your three points 80, but the main one for all of us Spurs fans to have in mind was touched on above by kinygerbils.

The aim under Lewis and Levy is not winning things, but making money / building value probably for a future sale of the club. Levys' focus in a transfer window is NOT to get players to improved the teams chances of winning things, but to buy players that money can be made on (the exception to that rule remains Sissoko).

Therefore a 4th point needs to be added to 80's opener - 4. The club isn't interested in winning things.

I have seen the word loan back used in this case.

Poch also stated he and Levy want to move the club to the last level.

To do that you need top players ready to compete at that level. So that is contradictory to signing undiscovered and therefore untested players.

We finished 2nd. Chelsea didn't have a Euro competition to deal with. In Levy and MP's mind we are definitely where we want to be .

League first.
Lets start working on other competitions now.

If we look at the two cups we need depth. Not headliners.

Europe is another matter we can deal with over the next few seasons.

We won't be where we want to be by standing still and signing undiscovereds . We will get overtaken in the PL to start with.

This is the third year in a row where I've heard that refrain.

It may happen. It may not. It hasn't so far.

Yup, it's in writing , Foyths club reportedly want him back if we sign him on 6 month loan. LOAN.

If it's part of the transaction we hardly sent him out on loan.

True but this time we are playing at Wembley. With no pace in our best 11 whatsoever. It's a real concern. The warning signs were there last season.

Over the last 3 seasons we have signed some already discovered players like Wanyama and Toby. We have benefited from beyond expectation performances from Kane and Alli. We have had arguably the best defence in the PL. Walker is gone and Rose who knows when he will be back. Dier could be unsettled now, I hope not. Son may not be fit to start the season. We have no early signings to bed in to be ready to start the season.

It may not happen but I would prefer some positives.

Perspective, patience and progress.

You won't find many with a similar well-balanced and sensible, practicable view.

Perspective wise we have lost ground on our rivals this window and are playing away from home all season. I think we have been very patient with regard to silverware.
Progress we have made until now but it looks like a backward step with selling our RB to rivals, not signing anyone in time for pre season if at all and playing in a non conducive stadium all season.
