FA Youth Cup Semi Final

[Skoorb]

Manchester City play Stoke City in the semi final of the FA Youth Cup next week. The home leg will be played at the Academy Stadium at 7pm on Friday 10th March.

ITV4 have selected the second leg at the bet365 Stadium for coverage, with the kick-off time moving to 7.45pm on Monday, April 3.

So far whether the first leg is being televised remains beyond my powers of detection.

For those who have access to the Manchester City Academy page on facebook, the first leg has just started

[Buzz Lightyear]

it is 0-0 with 7 mins played City almost scored and are dominating perhaps a strong word, but they clearly are on top

[Buzz Lightyear]

Diaz with a solo effort nearly on a par with the Kinladze effort against Saints puts City 1-0 against Stoke in the first leg

Stoke try to get back on terms but the City Keeper gathers and the danger is cleared.

City FA Youth Cup XI: Muric, Wilson, Francis (c), Coveney, Duhaney, Smith, Foden, Diaz, Sancho, Bolton, Nmecha.

great cross by City but when the lad had time to chest and hit it, Boton took it on the volley and blasted over 14 gone still 1-0

[Buzz Lightyear]

a half decent crowd at the Academy stadium to watch this first leg

[Buzz Lightyear]

Foden a good effort from distance but just wide of the right post with the Stoke Goalie just an onlooker

[Buzz Lightyear]

Nmecha stops to complain about a shirt tug instead of playing to the refs whistle and a good move goes begging.

[Buzz Lightyear]

Bolton sends another across the face of goal but no=one can get on the end of it and is cleared by the grateful Stoke players and then Stoke all the way down to Citys goal and strikes the post in a rare Stoke attack

City have a free in a good spot

[Buzz Lightyear]

Jadon Sacho just wide but a good effort from this class player for the Academy

[Buzz Lightyear]

Stoke hit the crossbar but City's luck holds and it stays 1-0

[Buzz Lightyear]

City a bit disjointed as they come more into the game

[Buzz Lightyear]

End to end stuff and a good game to watch

[Buzz Lightyear]

2-0 as Foden makes it a lovely second with another solo effort bamboozling the Stoke defence and slots it home nice and easy

30 gone
