FA cup

Just like the rest of "ONCE" Great Britain the Glory of the FA Cup has lost its importance. I don,t give a f..k what happens in Europe and Bongo Bongo land!

Yep the fa cup has become less important but i have to say that quarter final tie between Wet Sham & The Dirties was one of the most enjoyable(Non BLADES game) i've seen for ages. UTB

The only one of the 4 I watched all the way through was the saints game dint watch the Sunday game at all
 
Best FA cup match I saw was 6th round at Newcastle 1961 St, James Park Blades won 3-1 with Billy Russell scoring a hat trick inside the first 15 minutes!

One of my favrit cup ties was when we beat Everton at BDBL in 1970 wi goals from Addison & Reece it was a gr8 game,we were in div 2(nar championship) and Everton were one of the top teams in the country,they went on to win the league that season if memory serves mi r8.UTB

Pigs played WBA at The Sty, same day. Think same time too.
 
Another great Blades FA cup win was at Upton Park where Blades beat the Ammers 2-0, both goals scored by Phil Cliff
 
2 cup games stick in my mind for differing reasons both defeats, Norwich away they were one of the best teams in the country at the time think we were in the 3rd with Deane and Agana we lost 3-2 ran them close one of the best games I’ve seen live
The second was also away at Chelsea can’t even remember the score was either 1 or 2 nil I think and they kept us in for an age after the game we were getting restless so they calmed us all down by announcing the pigs had been hit for 7 (seven) at Highbury 😂
