FA Cup First Round

Bit of a 'meh' game. Not really at either end of the difficulty spectrum.

If FGR play as open and expansive as they have done in previous seasons, that'll throw up some interesting situations for Grant, Johnson, Anderson, Scully etc etc.
 
Looked at their squad and saw they've for Jamille Matt, thought hmm they're not paying as much as they used to (fairly uninspiring at the cods?) But to be fair, he's got 5 in 8 this year, more than a whole season in Grimsby ..
 
Whatever happens Cooper and his team can't blame the outcome on ugly, hoof ball Lincoln. There will be two sides playing football eh Cooper, so if you don't want some humble pie you'd better make sure you avoid defeat as I don't think the book of excuses goes up to number 102.
 
Watching the Bishop's Stortford v St Albans game, great to watch. St Albans the better side but 2-0 down after 15 minutes. Dodgy keeper.
 
Looking at FGR’s side, there’s Carl Winchester who played for Oldham when we beat them 3-2 on that memorable foggy night.

Elliott Whitehouse came off the bench for the last 15 mins which resulted in their late comeback v Morecambe. Jamille Matt netted the late winner and is a handful, so it won’t be easy despite our recent record against them.

Agreed, extremely worrying tie.
 
I hope they don't piss about splitting the games into Saturday and Sunday. If it's a TV game, fair enough but moving games just to fit them into a score show isn't needed. The calendar is messed up as it is without all that.
