Are we not going to the peoples champion after they battle past the great Pymouth Argyle? Rags will be home to Burton Albion and Spuds will play Chelsea. Gooners away to Everton. Nailed on.

I fancy Stourbridge, but would love to tackle the FA Cup holders at home and rub their noses in it.

An away game at Eastleigh, should they get through the Third Round, only because I know someone who coaches the youth team and coz I might just manage to get a ticket.

I wonder if the Stretford Galacticos will benefit from ANOTHER favourable cup draw on Monday?

Including this season, last season and the previous season (2014-17 inclusive) they have been drawn against Premier League opposition in domestic cup competition THREE times out of 13.

Arsenal in 2015 then West Ham and Everton in 2016, all in the FA Cup.

City by contrast have been drawn across the same time period against Premier League rivals
ELEVEN times out of 14.

Newcastle in 2014's League Cup, Sunderland, Hull, Palace and Everton in the 2015-16 League Cup, Norwich, Aston Villa, Chelsea in the same season's FA Cup, then Swansea and the rags in 2016 in the League Cup then West Ham in the 2017 FA Cup.

No rag can tell us they haven't had the er, rub of the FL and FA balls!

I just loved the way the media described them as having 'eased through' to the 4th round. It was as if they had to use that description to put it on a par with our win at the London Stadium instead of what might have been expected given the respective strengths of the two sides.

Wazza's record equalling goal compared to the subtlety of Kun's vs West Ham :020: and have you seen Rashnaldo's second goal? Total mess up by the Reading keeper presents him with an absolute gift.

I think you find that it is the rub of the warm ball or the bigger ball JB, but it stinks, but not matter who they draw, they will still be live on TV, the fans demand it.

That sequence is indefensible. I am sure there are plenty of sides whose fa Cup ties have never been televised juts to accommodate the rags.

Wow. I've never seen those figures before (well done for digging them out Mr. B) but we've always said in our house "why does it always seem to be that we draw Prem teams and the rags always seem to get nobodies?"

You would expect a no league against league opposition to get the nod, this would bring much needed income to these clubs.

Clubs who play the rags get enough income through the gate money, but it will never change because viewing ratings are what they go on, especially for commercial TV

No shouting from the rooftops about Eddie Howe and Bournemouth 'disrespecting the cup' yesterday. No list of top 'pundits' being wheeled out to slag off Howe or his club for the decision to make eleven changes (laughingly described by one 'pundit' on the BBC as "a lot of changes" :039: :039: ) , yes, that is ELEVEN, changes to their team as they suffered defeat to League One Millwall.

"I am not downplaying the FA Cup or the importance of the competition," Howe said.

If ever we want to cite n example of the hypocrisy and double standards within the media the way this has been reported compared to the sh*t we took feet last years' fa cup 5th round match against Chelsea :019:

I missed that. 9 changes eh? Well then, no disrespect shown there :017:

.....and whilst on the subject (well not really but hey ho) I don't see a lot of media discussion about highly expensive recruits Memphis 'best thing since sliced bread' Depay and Morgan Scheiderlin on the verge of being shown the door at The Old Toilet? Imagine if City were shipping out players that cost as much as they did.

Chelsea play Peterborough this afternoon in FA Cup.

How many changes will Conte make to his side do we reckon? .....and will he and his club be accused of 'disrespecting the competition'?
