FA charges

Skoorb

Alert Team
I am desperately seeking any evidence that both the rags and Boro will be charged by the FA for failing to control their players after incidents in our last two matches.

It seems I am searching in vain and I am confused.

I would love to have an explanation as to what the difference was between whatever happened in our game against the dippers after the penalty award for Clichy's challenge on Firmino and that of the rags when Elbows Fellaini was red carded and the Boro players (some of whom went batshit crazy) when we were awarded a penalty.

I am at a loss.

Is it dependent solely on the referee's report? Or is their some other decision maker involved because our offence was mild compared to the Boro apoplectic response and yet.....**ck all action appears to be heading their way

I was astonished to hear we had been charged with 'failing to control' our players in the Liverpool game. Compared to the reaction of Fabio + at least one other who went mental and the mass gathering of the rags around Atkinson......... :048:

Makes me wonder yet agains about institutional bias and a slow drip, drip effect of a tarnished reputation being built up for our club by the 'powers that be'.........Sergio 'the brute' Agüero; the Chelsea Debacle; the mysteriously revealed Anti-doping violations; the false allegations about inappropriately signing youth players; 'failing to control' our players when they form an orderly queue in front of the referee......all smells a bit fishy to me

Begs the question, what was said to Oliver that he felt the need to report us because as you point out Skoorb the difference in reaction seemed stark. We seemed like pussycats in comparison to Boro's conniption.

I think that by any reasonable standard Boro's were the epitome of 'out of control' - two of them grabbed the referee and were clearly not having a balanced and reasoned debate with him about the merits of his decision.

Perhaps the FA have not released any charges because it's not City and maybe later on in weeks we shall hear a one liner, which I have seen dished out on sky as a bit of space to fill in.

the sooner they clear the FA and get some people with modern ideas in, the better for football

because they have friends at the FA, big ties with a certain club down Stretford way.

I saw a comment on Twitter that the FA deemed there was insufficient evidence to bring charges.
This was against United in the derby, not seen anything yet about Middlesbrough, but wouldn't be surprised if the same is the case.
An explanation from the FA would be helpful, but :097:

Boro are to be charged by FA

Why don't they make a rule that only the captain can discuss decisions with the ref and anyone else approaching a ref will be instantly booked.

Surrounding match officials

A yellow card for at least one player when two or more from a team surround a match official.
The FA will continue to sanction teams when they surround match officials.

An admirable aim which they have patently failed to enforce in any consistent fashion.

Buzz have you emailed the FA about why City were charged (v Liverpool) or why the rags weren't (in the derby)?
