Whilst I have a blue badge because of physical issues having mental health issues (more managed today than they manage me) I am pleased to see this is being addressed too, as it does impact people's mental health for them getting out and about safely.
I wish more could be done to stop the stupidity of people who think that hidden illnesses mean the disabilities don't exist. Even though I am physically disabled because it is unseen I have had occasional comments from people with no brains, to work out the majority of disabilities are unseen

Blue badge parking permits extended to 'hidden disabilities'
People with less obvious illnesses will be able to park closer to their destination like those with physical disabilities.

People with "hidden disabilities" such as autism and mental health conditions will be able to get blue badge parking permits under an overhaul of the system.
From next year, those with less immediately obvious illnesses will be eligible for the badges, allowing the holder to park closer to their destination like those with physical disabilities.
