Exeter City (a): What 3 Things Do We Need To Do To Beat Them?

1. Defend as well as we did on Saturday.

Despite their pretty, tippy-tappy, triangular nonsense, Exeter made just three half-chances on Saturday, and two of those came from big hoofs down the middle. Other than that, our defence gave Stockley very little, and Exeter looked devoid of alternative goal threats. Keep Stockley quiet again, and we could win this comfortably.

2. Find something extra going forward.

We have conceded just 6 goals in our last 9 games, and look unlikely to change that. On that basis, one goal could well prove the difference between Gillingham and Grimsby next season. One moment of magic, one spark of creativity is all that needs. Step forward the big game player: Lee Frecklington.

3. Do not set an unwanted record.

City have never gone four successive league games without a win under Danny Cowley, and this would be an unwelcome time to break that record. Tell the players about that, and ask them whether they want to be part of the team that does.

1) Don't concede early, or at all preferably.

2) Don't make silly fouls in either half

3) Score early and multiple times, if possible. In any case score more goals than them.
