Hope we have a clause written in to his contract regarding international call ups.

Let's be honest here. There wasn't a mad clamour for him to stay at the time. And the club's he went on loan to weren't exactly falling over themselves to sign him permanently.

He was young though and needed time to develop he played well at Dundee and has improved at Celtic . Now he has stepped it up again in the Hungary friendly everything that’s been asked of him so far he has responded . I was sceptical about the fee Celtic paid but now I think it looks so far a decent bit of business.
 
Successive managers just didn’t fancy Hendry. The lad didn’t get any match time and went back to Scotland. Now at Celtic and an international. Unbelievable but it happens at many clubs. Hope we’ve learned a lesson.
 
Tbh Dan he is at a club with a manager who does give youth a chance . Not much consolation for us but as a Scotland fan I’m excited .
 
Makes one wonder about the quality of our coaching staff if after less than a season the lad is now playing international football when we couldn't even coach him into our first team.
 
Did okay for us and I was sorry to see him go at the time but seems it was a good decision.

Stephen Warnock has announced he will retire at the end of the season.
