Quite an entertaining game. Despite the scoreline, Mozambique looked quite useful in spells , but Nigeria were on top form.

Nigeria progressed to the quarter-finals of the competition.

Once Nigeria went ahead, Algeria didn't look like getting back into the match.
Stats show that Algeria were heavily "outgunned" overall, and Nigeria progressed to the semi-final of the competition.

Strong finish by Senegal, who deserved the narrow win. Excellent performance throughout by ex-Liverpool player, Mane. Only one goal in the final , but an entertaining game. Senegal are AFCON Champions 2026. Enjoyed the tournament.

TalkSport Radio - Kieffer Moore has withdrawn from the Wales World Cup Qualification Play-off squad due to injury. No ex-Millers in Wales or N.Ireland squads for next round of international fixtures.

Doesn't look like Andy Rinomhota has been selected for Zimbabwe.

Scotland World Cup squad to be named on Tuesday. Several uncapped Premier League players have recently discovered that they have Scottish grandparents!

Emil Martinez has been named in the Argentina 55-man World Cup squad.

Viktor Johansson has been named in the Sweden World Cup Squad.

It's not clear if David Ball ever completed his application for New Zealand citizenship. He's not in their World Cup squad, although another English non-league player has been selected, Braintree Town's Tommy Smith.

Only just realised that ex-Millers winger Ryan Williams was playing for India!. He has an Indian grandmother and is now an Indian citizen. He has been playing for Indian club Bengaluru, for several years. (He no longer has an Australian passport).
He played 81 league games for the Millers, scoring 5 goals (2017-19).
