Almost an ex-Imp, Gbemi Arubi has finally made it to English football with Burton Albion.
Arubi was one of four players from the League of Ireland to appear for Lincoln in the Lincs Cup match at Boston on 6 December 2023, scoring the second goal in a 4-0 win. Lincoln were thrown out of the competition after the four players were deemed ineligible.
The other players were John O'Sullivan (now Shamrock Rovers), Senan Mullen (Torino), and Divine Izekor (Inchicore Athletic).
