Sad to hear, but important to talk about. Society demands a lot from men. We are expected to always be strong, and not to show our feelings and emotions. If you are struggling, there is always someone waiting to tell you to 'man-up' (a phrase which I despise...). Its okay not to be okay.

Mind you, he was playing for Blackwell...

The abuse some players get is a factor in how it affects their mindset. Having to be brilliant every game must be demanding. Until recently many were sheltered from the real world and struggled to cope once they finished their playing days.

Saddest moment for me recently was watching Brian Deane burst into tears when he was talking about Cyrille Regis and the racial abuse he suffered.

Everyone has a different make up and some cope with stress and pressure better than others. A lot of the time support from friends and loved ones helps.

Ched Evans made a lot of mistakes but he must have been a strong person to cope with all the flak that he got after he was released from Jail. We saw the nasty side of social media and it in todays modern world that has a lot to answer for when dealing with issues such as depression.

All the best to him and any other human with these bad feelings.

But with the newspaper reports of 50%+ people having serious worries than it's not just mental health it really is just part of being human in many instances. We all need to carry on.
