Everton v NUFC 23rd April 2018

Diame’s tackle on Baines in the 1st half was superb. Like a man possessed.

Looks like Evil Bart Simpson is coming on and taking off our best striker who has had no service.

Laboured and clueless, second to every ball, in complete contrast to recent weeks, the casual on holiday already unprofessional *****. FIGHT OR FUCK OFF

How the fuck can we not even test them, the fans hate the team and the manager and yet we’ve let them stroll around here, god awful performance this, they want fucking shooting for this no show.

Brilliant defence from Coleman that to be fair, felt like Pardew was back that no show, pathetic, lay down against an awful Allardyce side, FUCK OFF NEWCASTLE and good night.

The tactics used by Allardyce stifles the flair of his more talented players and was on show tonight. I didn't realise Tosun (who we were, ahem, linked with once) was playing until he was subbed. It might work for Allardyce to accumulate enough points this way but it is shite to watch. That's not an excuse for our poor performance but we haven't got the skill to break down these tactics. It showed tonight.

Shelvey picked the right time to play himself out of world cup contention as he had his least effective game for ages. Was completely overshadowed by Diame who was my man of the match.

The pitch was over watered as well and probably uncut if truth be known to stifle our counters. Also this lowering of mics took the piss and was so obvious today.

Allardyce has just accused Rafa of negative tactics and said Everton dominated the game. Was a shite game, both teams were shite but with better passing and a better referee,we would have come away with at least a point.

Piss poor game,deserved a draw.
If tubby decided to invest in 2 decent strikers & a number 10 this summer there's the nucleus of a decent team.
Would cost him around £100 million.
Time to put his hands in his pockets or sell.
He'll do neither & the little Spaniard will eventually walk.

I thought Diame played pretty well in a team that seemed a little off the boil.
Dummet has had a great season, not many get past him. Possible tactical decision to move Wallcott onto the left wing as he was not getting much joy out of Wallcott

On reflection, we can be fairly chilled about last night. Yes, frustrating but there is a context.

Everton have 8 players in their squad who each cost £20m+. It was that bit of quality that came from Walcott that got a result for them. On the other hand, the player who could have generated the best moments for us cost £1.6m.

Rafa was right to want a number 10 in the summer. Slimani's movement was good even if he didn't get the service so Rafa was right to want a number 9 too.
