Certainly not one of our most memorable victories and the form of Sterling will be a worry for Pep, but break them down we did when Gundog scored and Carlo took of a CB and we scored another top goal from Red Kev. So very happy that Carlo's plan in the end failed, which was sneak a goal on the break, or take it to pens.
 
Notes from the MoTD highlights....
Ancelloti prepared his team well and they worked hard* to deny City space.....until
Gomes just switched off when Gundogan drifted away from him into the box to head home the first. That was another of our centre halves btw way carving out the effort against the bar before Mr Whippy arrived to finish the job :thumbup:
Good teams keep working to find a way
Thank goodness Digne survived and was able to recover quickly from the multiple fractures he appeared to have sustained after Fernandinho challenged him in the second half near the halfway line. His yell clearly coming a close second to Lacazette’s recently in terms of decibels. Got his opponent booked though so job done. Twat.
