Evangelist’ Jesus wouldn’t be riding donkey’

If their is a deity and we're wrong mate, blokes like the above I'm sure will end up in Hell's penthouse quicker than we ever will!

There's faith and then there's blind devotion which is surely idolatorious (sp) and tv preachers never seem to notice that.

Jesus wouldn't be in an airplane either! Going on the core message of Christ this guy would be removed from the ministry. The name Judas or and Pharisees spring to mind.

There are some genuine evangelists and there are those that aren't. This man isn't one of the genuine one's. Jesus would send him straight to the garbage tip which was what we call ''hell'' is talking about in The Bible, which is called γέεννα (Gehenna) The word hell did not exist in Hebrew at that time.

1/ Religion=man made rules to control
2/ Christianity= practiced properly is not No 1

My point exactly Kef and as you know, I say that as a non believer.

The US tv Evangelists and travelling ones as well with their BS claims (Derron Brown did a good investigation into the tricks if you haven't seen it) - making a mockery of the very thing they are supposed to evangel for yet people fall for it hand over fist.

I discern what I share about my beliefs with other Christians and chat with a few more unconventional ones like me, Mike.

The majority of Christians don't even know some of the core matters of The Bible such as this.

No I haven't seen the show your on about Mike. I shall Google and watch.

I don't watch The God channel. The majority of it is bull. I don't want to listen to the majority of Americans on faith either. I can't be asking with the Bible belt fundamentalist.

Even our eldest who used to be atheist whom has mellowed out on that since he met his wife 5 years ago says I am not a "normal" Christian.

I do wonder if alot of Christians really believe as the church line say they should do or just think that they have to toe the "party" line on it.

I really wonder for the mentality of people who fall for these people rubbish

Think that might be the one Kef?

I'm sure you'll enjoy it, charlatans like this don't help anyone's cause.

Cheers Mike. I shall watch it tomorrow now and let you know what I think. Not sure it will be repeatable. I may have to edit

lol - I hope it's the right one at any rate. At points it should cut to him going under cover at live Evangelist shows and then breaking down their 'miracles' which are modern day magic tricks. It's so simple but people fall for it and it's a mockery of their own purported faith in search of a quick buck.

I've got no time for people like that. People who lean on faith to do good, I think they'd have that outlook regardless of faith, but when you have idiots like this soiling the conversation (along with organised Catholic etc and those issues) it just muddy's the water sadly.

Haven't had a chance to watch it all. I have watched a little and will watch the rest this weekend. Yes I get what you mean about faith and doing good. I agree. I have always had that outlook. Since my life turned around and my hard work in that was part of it, I have support around me in what I do, though the majority of my service comes through A.A and P.I for A.A and holistic around it. As I have said before there is so much good done in the name of Christianity. It's only the bad unfortunately you hear about. Good news doesn't sell media space

If it peaked your interest it's done the job. Maybe my distrust of religion but I genuine believe people who lean on religion/faith as strength wouldn't actually live their lives any other way if it was called coffee.

If the faith helps and you don't carry that 'burn in hell' outlook when speaking to others, great. If not, that riles me.

We all have our own faith really, we have our own backstop...religion, faith, spiritualism, science, critique, fags, alcohol, training, football etc etc.

Whatever works and isn't harmful works. Whatever the brand, if it's not brain washing and it does good = good.

The only thing I tell people about hell is what I wrote in my first post, in this thread Mike. That hell is the rubbish tip outside of Jerusalem, that Jesus and John (Revelations) were referring too. Even the No 666 is incorrect as they had no numerical system back then.

I will go toe to toe with any religious nut and have done before and will again. I am a Christian. I am a religious atheist

Watched some more of it Mike. I will report back when I have finished watching it all
