Well that's the annual torture over, when I drove a taxi for a living I used to :-be forced by my boss (honest :17: ) to work every year but nowadays am pretty much forced to sit through it.

This year it's been won by a circus freak act. Ok, you could raise that same accusation most years but this time around it's the bearded lady.

It used to be the political contest, now it's become the politically correct contest, where one votes for the person with the alternative lifestyle. At least that's what I presume as in a list of mainly shit songs it was by no means the least shit.

I could do the same but it would mean either finding somewhere to go or hiding in the bedroom. The Mrs has even got the kids hooked on it.

Couple of points for me really. Firstly if you have a gimmick you can do well. Secondly it is bizarre to have a song competition in the first place. How do you judge a song?

Only watched about 20 minutes of it at a mates house, but when the act that won it came on we both did a double take and pissed ourselves laughing. If my dad was still alive, I'd have loved to have seen his face when the Austrian entry went on :17:

I really can't understand why anyone would watch it. I suppose it's like Pop Idol and all of those.

It's one of those shows thats so bad it's brilliant.

The other countries must really hate us though as no one ever votes for us .We could enter Take That or Elton John etc and still get hardly any votes.

We always have a guess at who is going to vote for who , although it's not hard as it's nearly the same every year.

The winner........

Why do they all hate us?

I don't get it.

Nor me really.

Ironically all the songs were sung in English as well bar the French one , and they came last......

It's a bit of fun so just enjoy it or not.

Was a dodgy vote but a beautiful song.

I can't agree with that, it was typical Eurovision dross.

The whole sorry affair was made emminently more watchable by the Spanish and Swedish entries and I'm informed by my wife that they were singing too :17:

I think you like it. Otherwise you would go and read a book :56:

Ha ha ha, but I'm not biting lol. The book idea sound like what I should have done but the only place in the house to get the peace and quite required would have been our bedroom and it's a bit small really, no room for a chair and I don't like sitting on the bed unless I'm planning on sleeping. I should probably have gone to the cinema or popped into work to catch up on some paperwork. Some times I really do miss driving a taxi lol.
