Euros Germany 2024

For all the badge kissing, the 'never been so proud, when pulling the shirt on I reckon they just don't have the same desire or drive to bust a gut for England.
At their level their future, their monetary security is assured and it often looked liked what it is to them- a chore eating away their free time.
And I can't imagine good old Gareth inspires them much with inspirational, life changing words.

BTW - just this minute seen he's resigned.

Thank God
Yes I just posted about GS, that'll be his knighthood confirmed!

It started before a ball was even kicked in the first game for me when our national anthem was played. 2 or 3 players sang it, a few more mumbled it a bit and the rest looked at their toes and didn't even bother. One player I won't name even looked pissed that he was even expected to sing it.
Maybe I'm a bit old fashioned but if they had been fired up in the dressing room and ready to sweat blood for their country we'd have seen more busting of a gut than we did in the games. But hey, we don't want to put them under too much pressure do we?

I suppose he's restored our world position tosomewhere around where we should be.

Does that deserve great praise or recognition? Not for me.
Real progress and real recognition was in his hands, in his gift but he just wasn't brave enough to take that next, bold (for him) step.

All he's done is a bit better than his immediate predecessors and that wasn't that hard to do.He doesn't really like the limelight or want undue attention or focus so leave him be as plain Gareth.

Even if he does get the obligatory knighthood most of us will always remember him as a nearly man without the guts to really go for it.

No, the footballers do as well to be fair. Kane, Pickford, Rice etc. It's pretty much just the Africans who don't.
There does seem a problem for UK citizens of all ethnicity in openly displaying allegiance to the crown or our country.

We will never win a major football tournament again, been taken over through the years by so many other countries. Plus our "World Class" stars Bellingham, Rice, Saka, Foden etc were pants against real World Class stars. Problem is they'll look good in their club sides due to being mentored by really great players.
Well said 👏 it's the media what creates all this bolloxs about England's so called " world class players" decent but nowhere near that title.

Argentina players were filmed singing this great song about France in their Copa America celebrations. Translation:

"Listen, spread the word;

They play in France, but they are all from Angola;

How nice it is! They are going to run;

They are 'cometravas'* like f***ing Mbappe;

Their mom is Nigerian;

Their dad, Cameroonian.

But in the document ...Nationality: French."

*'Cometravas' is a slang term that loosely translates to somebody who has sex with transgender people.

They were already my favourite national team. This cements that! It's funny to think that this will have been some kind of motivating factor for them in the 2022 World Cup. How refreshing.

Chelsea player had to do a big climb down a couple of days ago apologising for singing it saying it’s not representative of him still got to face his club who have opened an enquiry into it
I wondered what had been said as I couldn’t find it SSN just condemned it so wouldn’t give it air time

I didn't know Mbappe was a 'cometrava', anyway. Maybe that's why he's so loyal to Macron - they're one and the same....
