Are any of them English..?

Got to love Hellman's mayo and the enormous sum they've spent to put Grealish's face on everything for the next month.

Not taking Grealish is the stand out. That is a complete joke.

But the other Englishman, Eberechi Oluchi Eze, is in fine form so hey...... what is there to feel aggrieved about?

The other Englishman, Bukayo Ayoyinka Temidayo Saka, was always likely to be selected ahead of Jack as well so I guess it's just tough luck for him.

Something just seems like a bit of an excessive, piss taking slap in the face here, but I'm not sure what.

I guess outsiders like Grealish (and Maddison) have their hands full breaking through for a country like England.

Eze and Saka both born in England, makes them English. Makes no difference what their names are. Both good players, particularly like Eze, moves so naturally with the ball.

I like Madisson, Grealish a diving twta, no time for him.

If I was born in Nigeria I'd still feel ridiculous playing for Nigeria. I don't think their people would like it either. But over here there's no such consideration of these matters, for some reason.

I usually agree with you, on this I don't. Not going to argue it, I think both these lads are worth their place.

They have hands full picking that cheating bastard Maddison of the floor!

Well being the top Scottish scorer in the PL didn't help McBurnie. The kid Conway drafted in from Bristol City despite a poor second half of the season as well as some nobody who plays for Red Bull's New York team.

McBurnie would have been worth having on the bench, not that it matters, the Scotch will win no more than a point. "Home before the postcards" as Tommy Doc used to say - tae think again.

Scotland are missing some important players. Lewis Ferguson mainly, who won Serie A midfielder of the season. They're actually really strong in CM. McTominay and McGinn are also excellent all rounders.

They could have done with taking McBurnie to compensate for some of those absentees but they don't seem interested in him. Fitness record mainly, but also he just doesn't seem popular with them - fans, media, management.

One of the biggest squad surprises for me is Julian Brandt.

I can't believe Germany have left him out. While taking all of Gross, Fuhrich, Reitz, Andrich and Pavlovic in midfield.

Not the only surprise to me with their squad.

Think they could very well win the thing though. A lot depends on Wirtz's form.

We look very weak in the left back area of the squad, but we have a lot of talent in attackin areas tho.2 of the 3 keepers are ex BLADES.COME ON ENGLAND.UTB

Can anyone explain why he's taking Lewis Dunk? Is it because he looks a bit like Maguire? Branthwaite should have easily gone ahead of him - especially as he's left footed.

Only Walker and Stones in defence are good enough to win a tournament.

Which means we'll have to be brave and outscore teams. But we have the wrong manager for that.

I really think we needed at least 3 of the 4 defenders to be strong. Without Maguire, this isn't the case. Guehi's the best bet but he's totally unproven.

Other ridiculous decisions for me are:

Toney - why is he needed? Penalty shootouts?

Bowen AND Gordon - why both, when neither will be starters? Maddison would have been more worthwhile (alongside Bowen), let alone Grealish. I rate Gordon but there's no need for him.

Alexander-Arnold - posing as a midfielder against piss poor teams doesn't mean he is a midfielder, and doesn't mean he's worth taking when you already have two other right backs. Ben White would have been a better choice than him. Because he can actually defend and has been a regular all season for an exceptional Arsenal team.

They all rave about Foden, but take him out of Man City's line up and play him at say Palace and he'd look just another Prem player.

Can't agree re Foden. He would survive, and prosper, in virtually any team in the world. He's scored some magnificent goals as a result of his own ability this season and filled the De Bruyne 'hole' well when he wasn't available.

The bigger question is will gormy Gareth be brave enough to play some (any) progressive, attacking football?

I thought Ben White had refused to play for England,i was surprised Branthwaite was left out,i would've picked him him over Dunk.UTB

To be honest, I couldn't care less. They don't represent me, ever since Gareth called me a c*** for not kneeling down for something or other. Lots of bunting in the supermarkets. All in the bin by midnight when we get knocked out by the first decent team we play.

I want ENGLAND to win,i get some don't like the manager and think he's too defensive minded but i want ENGLAND to end this trophy drought we've endured since 1966 and yeah i suppose i'm bein a clapper AGAIN.:yes:UTB
