Vital Champions League
I don't know about anyone else but when growing up I always used to pick a club side from the major European countries to pick up and follow. This was usually based on a match I'd seen on the TV, their shirt colours or links with Blackpool. Just for a bit of fun these were the teams I followed (and still look for their results!)...

France - St Etienne (kit colours)
Spain - Barcelona (kit colours)
Portugal - FC Porto (Mickey Walsh)
Germany - Borussia Mönchengladbach (kit colours)
Italy - Lazio (Paul Gascoigne)
Greece - Panathinaikos (played beach football once with four of their players in Greece)
Holland - Ajax (one of my favorite players Johan Neeskens)

Did any of you guys do the same?
 
I always keep an eye out for a couple of jock teams' results.
Stranraer and Stenhousemuir.
No specific reason other than I've always imagined them having to play in front of 200 a game.
There was once a feature on some bloke who lived down Luton way but promised his dying grandad he would watch a lowerlkeague jock team that his grandad supported.
Every Sat he'd fly up get to the match and get home at stupid o'clock early hrs. Must have
cost him a fortune. All the jock locals knew him at the match too.
